Re: Adjustment Needed? Right Side Bigger Than The Left
That's a good idea to let off on the right leg to get a better sense of what it feels like to drive fully/predominantly with the left. Perhaps the adjustment is more technique related as opposed to any change with the rowing setup. The leg imbalance is so slight that it doesn't impact my daily life ...

Adjustment Needed? Right Side Bigger Than The Left
I've been rowing somewhat regularly for about a year now and have had considerable success with weight loss and general fitness but I'm noticing that my right side (biceps and calves in particular) is bigger than the left. Now I am right handed but I think it's also because I'm slightly knock-kneed ...

Re: Plateaued - Work on Pace or Rate?
Tsnor - very interesting reading. I may throw in a few easy-med workouts throughout the week. Describe the "Wall" 18spm at 2:08 pace is not great for someone age 30 at 182cm. That should be a "Training" pace row for you. Is the wall that you cannot pull harder to improve the pace at 18spm or your HR...

Re: Do The Seat Rollers Need Lubricating?
I may just need to give it a good strong wipe down one of these days. I've been cleaning it literally immediately after each workout so sometimes I'm not putting in the best effort when I've still not caught my breath yet.

Do The Seat Rollers Need Lubricating?
After every workout, I've been taking a slightly damp paper towel and wiping down the rail (including underneath) and pushing it up against each of the seat rollers while moving the seat with my hand to clean each of them. Lately, I've noticed that the seat does not return back to the front by itsel...

Re: Plateaued - Work on Pace or Rate?
Wow appreciate all the responses. I'll add a bit more info about my current rowing workouts: Generally I try to row 5-6 times a week. The other main workout I do is an interval, 6x 500m, 2min rest. Averaging around a 1:55 at 23-24 spm on those. And once every week or 2 I'll do a 10k row at a slower ...

Plateaued - Work on Pace or Rate?
I started rowing about 8 months ago and one of the workouts I do 2-3 times a week is a 25 minute row. I've kept my stroke rate at 18 and over the past few weeks it seems like my pace has hit a wall at ~2:08. Looking for some advice on what I should work on now to improve. Should I up my stroke rate ...
