Re: Looking for CAD overall cost confirmation

Not a spammer. I asked a legitimate question out of concern about my recent purchase. I'm a bit insulted. Since you're legit then send an email to info@concept2.com with complete details of the ergo serial number, the PM model, date code and serial. Who you purchased from, when you ordered it, when...

Re: 2,000m Ergometer Time Estimator

https://cavanhagan.com/rowing-calculator I hope you can all try it out and let me know how close it is to your actual 2,000m time. Then if you wish you can click the link on the page to submit your own data so I can update the model in the future with more data. I tried it with my ancient PB times ...

That doesn't sound acceptable if you paid for a new model. Call them directly, express your concerns & they will do right by you.
I think vkalli is going to need to provide some proof that he/she is not a spammer.

Thank you very much, i hope it would be ok in the next version.

Is the start synchronisation the only issue ? the difference would be less than 0.5 s
It's critical because it's used for the race start and detecting false starts.
Also bear in mind that the PM5 is a USB 2.0 device.

Re: racing with a PC, is it possible to replace the usb cable with wireless connexion

For a wired race the first PM is wired to the PC with a USB-A to USB-B printer cable. The rest of the PMs are wired with RS485 (using cat5 cables and RJ45 connectors and a 120ohm terminator at the end of the run (to prevent signal reflection) - it's NOT ethernet). Cable run is up to 33m between each...

Re: Would adding Slides to my Model D be appropriate for me?

Split times are slightly faster, for me about 2 seconds per 500m. With increased SPM, I believe the “work” is the same as on a static machine. You're breaking the laws of physics if you believe that. If your split times are better you're putting more watts into the system. For example, a 2K piece i...

Re: Forum Flyers

As for the April CTC, I've found that staying on 20spm is very easy. I just watch the time counting down and try to start a drive on every number divisible by 3---57, 54, 51, 48 etc. If I get ahead or behind a bit I just adjust until I'm back on track. It works for me anyway. Nice tip! Makes perfec...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

From the April CTChallenge: Deduct 100 metres from your distance for every stroke per minute over 20. Should we take this to mean an increase of stroke/‘ average over 20 for each of the two 10’ active periods as in previous restricted rate challenges? You're overthinking it again. The challenge is ...
