Re: Accuracy of the PM5

That's not how rowing works. You can cover the same distance at 20 SPM or 30 SPM in the same amount of time. It's all about the pace for 500m (which is derived from the number of watts you're putting into each stroke). Admitedly at 20 SPM each stroke has to have more power on the drive, but you get ...

Pretty sure. I just finished 1 hour, 10,200m, with average HR of 120. My UT2 band average is theoretically 136 (using Free Spirits calc).
You're not using your legs. You should be doing 10K in close to 40 minutes and 15K in an hour.

Can you now reset the password then?

Thanks, but the problem is I do not have a computer that will allow me to install the utility. I need to do it without a computer.
You can't.

Take a USB stick round to a friend's house and load the firmware on their computer.

Does anyone know what Paddy Power have chosen for October or do I have to attempt to use the defib paddles on my crystal ball?

No they're not. Everyone on here is talking about ergo performance and very few folks have ever seen a boat let alone rowed one.

Re: PM5 Firmware Update without a computer

You can carry the firmware from a computer on a USB stick. Fits in the USB-A socket on the back of the PM5.

You'll need the C2 Utility on your computer to write the USB stick.

You may want to seek out and merge with the existing Paddy Power team. I think they're all on the Faceborg rather than here.

Re: Model D maintenance/Upgrades newbie, help with PM5

So, my question: Do I simply purchase a PM5? Does it come with all the cables and connections, or is it just the display unit? Or do I buy a single element like a generator coil? Just get a PM5 (USD$180) it will fit the existing monitor arm on a model D, unscrew the PM3, pull the bolt, fit the PM5,...

Unfortunately, I can’t post a picture. No matter how small I make it I get “Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.”
Post the picture on https://imgur.com it gives you a BBCode link to post on here.

Re: PM5- Display light time

Have you tried connecting a USB-B (printer cable) to your laptop or to a 5V wall charger?

It's about 45 seconds from last stroke to PM5 going dark when it's on batteries. Any button press will light it up again.

Perhaps drag factor is something that should remain a mystery to me.
https://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/ ... etting-101

Lever position, dust and elevation are the most significant things that affect drag factor.
