Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
In case of PLI we are talking about half the power. That will not get anyone to a good powerful stroke. In my point of view this steady thing here is way too much focused on HR. I'm with Sakly on this. We've seen many folks give up on erging because they can't keep their HR artificially low. Most f...

Re: New PM5 showing wrong data
Then you probably need a new flywheel sensor or new magnets on the flywheel.

Re: New PM5 showing wrong data
Is it set to the correct model?
Check the front page screens.
If you have a model C rower with a PM5 set for Model D/E you will get wrong results.

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
How slow is too slow? ... Mine is 27:07 5k R20 this time, which is bonkers. That is too slow. You should be doing 5K in closer to 20:00 even at R20. Don't let HR control your rowing, you won't achieve anything like that. Look at HR after the workout to see how your did, not the other way round.

Re: Pondering the Beginner Pete Plan
Pete's plan was designed (from the Wolverine Plan) to take a lunch hour, including changing time. I don't think Pete had any other rhyme nor reasons for his pace suggestions.

Re: Using PM5 monitor with the old Concept Dyno
Just noticed the new strengthErg will be using the PM5 monitor. Got me thinking - does that mean you could plug in the PM5 to a concept dyno and you’d be good to go? You do realise that this is a customer forum, run by volunteers - concept2 don't have any input. Have you asked Info@Concept2.com? Se...

That workout shown on the PM5 is a variable interval. Look at the title it says v10,000m/1:38r.

Re: ErgData and verified rankings...
On the rowerg can only rank the ranking events. They are: 1 minute, 4 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 100m, 500m, 2000m, 5000m, 6000m, 10k, half-marathon (21,097m), marathon (42,195m) and 100k metres. It takes the last one ranked, it doesn't take the best one. Every workout logged with Ergdata shou...

You can clear the ancient workouts from your old logcard and re-use the space you'll gain.
I used to do that at the start of each new season when I was using logcards.

Re: small pieces of metal on seat rollers
This is the ergo sucking the life force out of you, it deposits the residue on the monorail. There's no cure except to train better. You can mitigate against the black chips on the monorail with a good dose of Windex and a clean lint free cloth. That may be more effective than training better. It's ...
