Re: No rowing while traveling

See if they’ll trade you access for cleaning their machine and updating their PM5 ( take upgrade on USB). Most ergs don’t get maintained. Document the Drag factor before and after to show them what a 5 minute screen cleaning will do

Re: Ergdata PM5 Update slow

Putting the updates on a USB via the C2 utility program is simple and straightforward. I used my USB to update my pm5 and over the course of the next week will use the same one to update 7 other ergs. It’s simple & straightforward. See if any of your rowing acquaintances have the next update on USB,...

Re: pull cords position

Almost forgot. There is a third party that sells a wider base for the SkiErg allowing you to bring your wheelchair into better position

Re: pull cords position

CALL Concept 2. They will send these to you no charge. Also ask about the handle rests that mount to the side of the SkiErg to allow the handles to be left at a reachable level (with or without the extensions)

Re: App crashes again if menu is opened

Good work around. I think the SW devs will be very happy to see a repeatable scenario that causes a crash, and will fix the underlying bug if Mibru sends them a note. "Result: app crashes " is not what anyone intends. Tsnor- I don’t think of it as a workaround or problem. I think especially in situ...

Re: Mud Season Madness

Anything equal to or over 5 or 10 k. Easy to mix up with multiple sets or varying interval workouts. I did intervals on day 1 of 250, 500, 750, 1000, 2000, 2500, 3000 starting at full drag and dropping the drag factor by around 10 with each subsequent interval. I did follow up with a 2k real-time ro...

Re: App crashes again if menu is opened

Simple fix. Save the row in ErgData before you screw with the menu!
Basically, you’ve been closing the session while the PM5 is in the middle of offloading ALL the data.
I’ve been bitten by this “hurry up” syndrome myself and had to manually upload from the PM5 to the logbook. Patience is a virtue.

Re: Try the Real Time Loop?

I tried real-time after I completed the WOD. It was enjoyable, quick, simple and straightforward. I’ll probably incorporate real-time session in to a weekly routine. I think the 1k course layout gives a different perspective regardless of how many others are on the circuit. I do think they could mak...

Re: Sprocket bearing required?

Photo would have helped but it sounds like you are talking about the main sprocket which the chain engages with. Also helpful would have been knowing the age of your rower. No matter what, if there are pieces coming off from around the sprocket/axle, the simplest thing to do is replace at least the ...

Re: PM5 Firmware Update Confusion

If your firmware shows 211, you are up to date.
You probably also show you have Hardware version 9.
C2 previously included which hardware version the firmware range correlated to, which made it easier to know what was going on..
Bottom Line - you’re good until the next update

Re: Large Group Interval Workouts fall out of sync?

I believe there is a second or so grace period after the rest interval hits zero where if you start, your next interval starts. After that grace period is up, the timer starts whether you do or not.
I could easily imagine seeing a 5 second variance in a group setting over 10 intervals.

Re: No Sync button in ErgData

I believe it sounds like you want to sync historic rows from the PM5 monitor to ErgData.
I could be wrong but I think you have to manually enter those sessions into the C2 logbook and then they’ll sync to ErgData when connected for your next session

Re: Drag factor

I cleaned both erg’s in our gym and moved them from 80 to 210.
Also put up a sign telling them of the increase in drag at high rates.

Have also traded a screen/fan cleaning for use of the equipment while traveling.

Re: New chain - more effort?

While you had the machine apart did you happen to clean 7 million meters worth of lint/dust/crud from the flywheel and airscreen? Are you going by actual drag factor or by the old damper setting?

Re: RowErg sitting on SkiErg floor stand ?

I hate to say this, but you would probably be better off trading your RowErg & SkiErg in for a ski-row by EnergyFit. Users used to the Concept2 who use the ski-row say it’s very close to the C2 but more versatile. I was on one on a trip last year and got a decent row on. ( I’ll keep my C2- but I’ve ...
