Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Something seems off with this - you have to average 1:52.5 to hit 8K in 30 minutes - good session though. oops  brain fade, corrected now. LOL I figured that was the case - nice and consistent too. You keep a lower stroke rate as I do for 30 minute at that pace (I am even lower) - do you rais...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Joined a 30 min session on Rowpro, nobody seemed to have a specific plan so just decided to sit on 1.53 r23 with a push small push at the end to get >8k, went like this: 30 min - 8004 - 1.53.4 - 23 06 - 1599 - 1.53.6 - 23 - 139 end HR 12 - 1599 - 1.53.6 - 23 - 145 18 - 1599 - 1.53.6 - 23 - 150 24 -...

Re: Coping strategies

didn't realise so many people need a distraction to get through a session.

For me I spend the whole session making sure each stroke is the same as the one before, same pace same rate over and over again.

Re: Help with goal setting

Is it me or have we had a few new folks on the forum here recently with already good times? Good to see the ERG becoming a tool for many Athletes that are already fit and strong. I'm with you on that Keith. Hopefully they will stay motivated and keep on erging. Looking forward to seeing some big pr...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Did a 10k r23 today, not as humid as it has been over the last week or so but still left a big puddle under the erg out on the patio :D Pollen count was still high though and could feel it in my breathing. Have been working at 1.52 r23 for 30 mins and just slowing the pace to 1.54 makes it feel so d...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Few niggles recently. Pulled something in my ribs but have done the same in the past and tends to clear up fairly quickly, just need to go steady for a while. Also developed a bit of nerve problem from my right sitting bone which went down my hamstring, knee and calf. Bought a C2 seat pad and seems ...

Anyone have any pacing info for some of the really fast 5ks out there?
Mine wasn't super fast but wanted sub 16.40, plan was to sit on 1.40 r30 with a push at the end. Worked a dream :D

Re: Realistic 6 Month Improvement

So I'm currently in the latter stages recovering from a basketball injury (torn peroneal tendon) I've rowed a bit in the gym - about 2 months on the Pete Plan but had a bit of a break while I moved house. In my eternal wisdom I've gone and got myself a rower for the Man-Cave, with a view to regain ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Joined a 30min session on Rowpro which started at 5.30pm but didn't get home until 5.23. Was changed and on the erg by 5.29 and ready to go. Had a couple of pulls to check the DF. The only plan I had was the rate at r23, would see where it took me: 30min - 8061 - avg 1.51.6 - 23 06 - 1598 - 1.52.6 -...
