Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Yes, finally! Holy s***, that hurt, finally able to dig deep! Although this is a "big" PB, it is not what I really wanted to hit. During March and April, I was doing really good. I jumped from 8249(set in 2013) to 8641 in one jump. Started to aim at hitting 8800, but could not do it. Realized after...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

https://i.postimg.cc/rdpSdftJ/IMG-20200807-070232-264.jpg I think this is my eighth PB in four months. Didn't expect much today so maybe later on in the month I can get it closer to 17:15. Heat and humidity definitely played a part today and I almost HDed three times from 3k onwards. HR hit 99% as ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Only done three sessions in the last week, have been doing some building work in the garden. So joined a 30 min session on Rowpro and just went with the flow. 30 min - 8185 - 1.49.9 - 26 06 - 1625 - 1.50.7 - 26 - 139 end HR 12 - 1630 - 1.50.4 - 26 - 145 18 - 1634 - 1.50.1 - 26 - 151 24 - 1639 - 1.49...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Well, another good improvement in PB but another missed goal and another loss to the chimp that cost me. 30 Minute PB - 8366 90M improvement but old PB was really old and low hanging fruit. Goal was 8400m+(1:47.1 pace) and I just didn't get it done. Was on pace if not too fast early but thought I w...

Re: Erging Injuries

apart from the ‘bruised butt bones’ The length of time you're sitting on those bones may be pinching a nerve, or aggravating something else. Perhaps a thin pad with the cutouts in the right place for the sit bones would relieve the pressure enough that the later leg sensations will go away. Look at...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

First ever workout over a 2:00 pace - woohoo! So, I know its weird to be happy about going slower but for those that don't know I had never done a workout with a pace over 2:00 including my FM. Was sort of a weird ego thing and also I just assumed that 1:59 was more than slow enough for Steady Stat...

Re: My ergs are getting harder, HR is going up. Why?

Maybe if you feel fatigued you are actually fatigued and are over doing it. Your evaluated HR means your not getting the recovery period you need. Personally I always found that it took about 2 weeks for a set rate of exercise to catch up with me. What initially felt doable on a monthly challange g...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Joined a 30 min session on Rowpro with half an eye on sub 1.49 but was too close to my last 10k and went pop. Wasn't really a blow, I just stopped then started again. Looking at the splits, I was going too hard. Split Time Meters Pace Watts Cals SR HR 1 6:00.0 1,650 1:49.1 269.6 122 27 142 2 6:00.0 ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

First session for three days, had overload week last week so took two rest days plus another to let a niggling hamstring heal up a bit. Set up a 10k on Rowpro with a view to go sub 1.50.5 and maybe sub 1.50 pace. 10k - 36.42.6 - 1.50.1 - 26 2k - 7.21.4 - 1.50.3 - 27 - 141 end HR 2k - 7.21.9 - 1.50....

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

It's with mixed emotions that I post a new 10K PB by 16 seconds of 36:14 (1:48.7 pace) So, why mixed emotions? Let's start with the good. It was a 16 second PB and was sort of unplanned as I wasn't feeling too fresh with good rowing and weight workouts the 5 days prior. I got on the rower with the ...
