Re: Heart Monitor Question
About the erratic hrm readings, I used to use Polar but switched to Garmin ... the Garmin was ok for a while until it started being erratic losing beats and having spikes ... I solved it by getting a replacement strap ... off ebay so far has happened again. I tend to use a garmin Ant strap and conne...

Re: Boat Race Test
One of the ways I predict what I may do over a fixed distance on the erg is using the Free Spirits' pace predictor you dial in your two closest distances (or times) to the distance (or time) and what distance (or time) the race is over and the web page tells you your likely pace and time or distance...

Re: Fake SkiErgs on ebay
If you think it is a fake then report it through eBay UK. Or contact the seller, drive to Ormskirk and take a look. Since the advert doesn't actually say Concept2 Skierg, I don't think it is a total scam but only that C2 should take action to stop the source of fake C2 equipment as any problems wil...

Re: How to capture force curve?
Boatcoach has a set of graphs for the force curves ... average, each quarter of the session and last stroke. You could also plot any stroke force curve yourself from the data Boatcoach can save.

Re: Ergathlon Error
I've attempted 2 ergothlons one with ergData and the other without ergData. First one was without ergData was a 500m RE /1k BE and was completed without a hitch ... next up was a BE/RE 10k/5k with ergData. After the BE 10k split and switching to the RE ergData crashed ... never mind just keep going ...

Re: best app/subscription service for rowing programmes
Boatcoach (not free) allows you to program the erg beforehand with the session then you can select the session again and again, plus you get graphs and data. ErgData (free) works on all three ergs. As for training programs Pete Plan, Wolverine Plan, Interactive, Rowpro, the marathon plan etc... stic...

Re: Model D/PM5/Ergdata/iOS/Garmin/Memorystick
Hi, I hope I have this right but the only reason you use the usb stick is to have a list of favourites. If so then ... I use just an android tablet or phone with Boatcoach ... as Boatcoach allows you to set up as many sessions as you want more than the 10 favourites the usb stick allows. Unfortunate...

Re: Best heart rate strap for pm5 ?
I use a garmin hrm with an ebay replica strap. The garmin soft strap was erratic but as soon as I replaced it with a copy it worked well. I'm now on the second replica. Any ant monitor should do the job.

Re: ErgData
No reason for ErgData to shutdown ... if you battery in your phone/tablet has enough power. You could try turning on the location on the app for ergData. Use a cable instead of Bluetooth. Is the firmware up to date on the PM? Are you running the latest version of ergData/ As to another app try boatc...

Re: Garmin Connect.
The way to get the most data and graphs in both Garmin Connect and C2 Logbook is to first in C2 Logbook enable the Garmin connect pairing ... then use a mobile or tablet on either android or ios. The app can be ergData, boatcoach and painsled. My favourite for rowing erg is Boatcoach (only on androi...

Re: Using SkiErg and Rower
I used a bikeerg and rowing together in a few sessions. I set up the bikeerg with ergData on I think the iPad and then started the session on the erg with boatcoach or ergdata with an android device. It worked but that was a few months ago and there have been updates in ergdata and firmware since th...

Re: Ergdata and calorie calculation
Indoor rowing and OTW have a light weight category to balance out the size issue. Bit puzzled at 14% body fat I'd not consider myself fat. If you want to lose fat and gain fitness in the process ... start training to a a schedule pick one ... The Marathon Guide by Eddie Fletcher ... Pete Marston's P...

Great news, the rpm problem and the connection problems in the Android version have been fixed in v1.68 .
