Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Hi everyone- Finally completed my first HM today, so by definition a new PB! My announced goal has always been to do a HM under 90 min, but my secret goal was to do it with a sub 2:00 pace.... and I was successful at that, so I’m pretty happy with the result. I targeted 203w the whole time and was ...

Hello everyone! So... The last time I logged into this forum was 2008 😂 when I was a 19yo lwt.. I was participating in the c2ctc challenges with you guys Well.. I'm now a 33yo hwt 😂 is there still room for a little one? I had health (mental) problems around 2008 that had me largely give up on every...

Re: Wanting to go Sub7 2K for the first time - anybody onboard?

Made it! 6:58.9 today & super pleased. I wasn’t really as prepared as I’d have liked with Level1 (eg. 8x500) and 2 (eg. 4x2k) intervals. Been slacking a bit & substituting with Level4 (rate based paces 16-24)). Those were going very well though so thought I’d give it a go! WG Woo Hoo! Congratulatio...

Re: HM, FM, 30k, Century...Election Anxiety

Hey all - I got a Model D on 10/22 and have dove right in. Leading up to the election I was feeling a ton of anxiety (and hope!) so I ended up trying some of the challenges. I'm an incredibly average athlete, aggressively mediocre. I'm 32 6'1" 225 coming from a crossfit background, but not particul...

Re: 1,000,000 meters done

Well done Castu. I’m closing in on my 1M and it will feel good to get there. Fortunately I have never had a problem with weight, but always being active and not actually liking ‘bad’ food probably helps. That said during lockdown I have consumed more ‘bad’ calories than I did before - mainly from g...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Hello. It’s been...a while! Going to start The Pete Plan tomorrow. The PP was the first plan I followed back in the day and I was actually coached by Professor Pete long before he became a coach. Good times. I always said I would come back to the erg when my body was shot from other sports. Tomorro...

Re: Shock cord issues (wearing out after 7 weeks)

Hi there I purchased my machine in July and am also having this issue. Small elastic strings coming out of the shock cord. Have sent pics to Concept 2 and they advised that looks like a faulty cord and they'll be sending a replacement. I did advise that there were others (via this forum) that seem ...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

After trying and failing for my first HM last Friday, I took some rest and went for a one hour TT today. Was able to hit my target of 15k and beat my old PB by about 100m with 15,095m. Here’s the final line 1:00:00.0 15,095m 1:59.2 206 1010 24 My strategy was to try and average around 200w, as my l...

I am finding, i have to bend way too low to adjust the resistance dial, in pretty much all cases i have to stop pedalling, bend down change it to the setting i want, and then start pedallin...

Re: Things you figure out because of rowing

I recently figured out I could read when I rowed. It is a heck of a lot more fun for me than watching some inane TV rerun or even a good mini-series (like the Sopranos or GOT, even). So I open a good book on my IPad, find a good classical playlist, and start rowing. As for what I have learned as a ...
