Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.

Managed 17,004 meters in 30 minutes tonight on the BikeErg, just shy of 300 watts average. I find that higher wattage bike rides 'wreck' me less than the equivalent row session. Those that have both available, is that your experience as well? WOW!! :o  That's incredible! Congratulations! David

Re: 1,000,000 meters done

I reached a million meters today since I started rowing in February. I was 400lbs on December 1 and decided to eat healthier and less to be supportive of my wife who had started dieing on her own. I figured I'd lose some weight but it was not my primary motivation. Near the end of January I was dow...

Re: Why did you stop using RowPro ?

I hadn't used it in a long time, but yesterday decided to make sure my PM5, and C2 utility were all up-to-date, and to try RowPro again. Everything connected well, and I didn't have any issue seeing the scheduled rows, etc. I set up a row for myself, and part way through I remembered why I had stopp...

I am looking for a virtual rowing team for my son. He is in middle school. Is there such a thing? I think a team would really encourage him to row. Thanks!
I also don't know of kid's team, but there are a number of kids on Lunatics.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Went sub 7’ for my 2k. :D Somewhat buoyed with some other times I thought I’d give it a go but be sensible this time and avoid a HD at all costs. The plan worked - hard away, sit on 1:45 and wind it up from 400 with everything I’d got left for the last 21 strokes. I don’t think my HR really was 208...

Re: New guy introduction

Mornin folks, Just wanted to pop in and say hello and thank you all for the amount of information on this board -it's been helping me tremendously to figure out what the heck I'm getting myself into. I've been a garage gym lifter for a while but planning to replace my running workouts with a C2 onc...

Re: First 2K

Ohhhhhh.... I didn't think this would be so hard. A few disclaimers before I post my result. 1. I did this fasted--I don't normally eat breakfast and it's too hot today to do this laterafter I've eaten. 2. I did this barefoot--well, actually with a pair of thick walking socks. 3. I did a small yoga...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Decided on having a crack at my 10,000 pb. Thought id be brave and set out to aim to go sub 36 and failing that, if i can hold on i should end up getting a PB regardless. No quitting! Considered a negative split approach but then decided against thought. I thought i'd set out hot for 2km, get a buf...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Since I started erging semi-regularly 5 years ago, my big target has been to row 8k in 30min. Thanks partly to COVID lockdown, I have had my most consistent stretch of following the Pete Plan ever for the last 6 months. I attempted to hit my 30min target on Sunday, but HD with less than 5min to go....

Re: Whoop, whoop!

Greetings Lunies! Dan W tried to get me signed up for a 21 step program to complete today's Solstice Challenge: the "game is afoot" he wrote. Mischief certainly abounds with this team! I am happy to report that I have at least walked more than 21 steps unassisted. There is still a bit of work to do...

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.

I just simply have to laugh at myself, awhile back I put the solstice challenge on my calendar as the 21st, and I hadn't looked at the forum recently, otherwise I would have been reminded that it was on the 20th. Oh well, I completed it today and it just counted as my own challenge...BazZy have fun...

Yeah, my bad. In trying to spare the OP a look into he-who-must-not-be-mentioned's rabbit hole, I've not read the whole post.
:D he still ows me a 1000 dollar. He was entertaining though, and complete bonkers.
I remember that. :D
