Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Rod - wow, another improved BR for 6k. Congratulations, and best wishes to take this under 22 minutes. Brilliant 1 hour result too. Dean - ending a session early when you feel weak is sometimes the only thing you can do, (happened to me on HM training just before Christmas when I had been strugglin...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Richard – doing well on the long distance including regular sprints. Rod – congratulations on another British Record, adding to your 3 existing ones. B) Dean – great work on the HR controlled training, although your graph shows a worrying 0 heart beats at the end of the 4 minute rests. :o Me - 1200...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Weds - C2CTC, was going to stick at 2:06 all the way but realised that I could add a bit to the 250m and bring it down to 2:05.1 ave with flying starts. Fri - 10 x 1k r2, with 4 pressups in each 2 mins. 2:11.7 pace which is effort but not maximal. Sun - 32195m in 2:36.23.3 or 2:25.7, (kinda burnt o...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Rod - What unfortunate circumstances for your HM lightweight PB attempt. Great work on your training for 1 hour at 20spm and 2:00 pace. Thanks for the newsletter relaunch, which will no doubt have a few mentions of Carol and yourself going for Gold. Marjorie – glad you had a great time rowing 6k in...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Richard - Excellent work on the 6k and the 5k taken from it. Congratulations on 201 sub-7 min 2ks – cannot imagine many people have got anything close to that done. Perhaps that took more out of you than you expected prior to Decembers C2CTC. Brilliant HM on New Years Eve, which even includes stopp...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Finally pulled off the HM that shows what I can really do - 1:36.45.9 or 2:17.6 at 26spm, (only 23 secs slower than last year). No warm up as the gym closed at 1pm, but dont think I suffered for that. First half 48:02, second half 48:44. At least that gives me confidence that I can row a marathon at...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Just a quick message from Dusseldorf - catch up properly later. Out here for the the 6k ergo Christmas cup, (I dont do the sprinty stuff). Only 2 in my race which is a ltittle disappointing as I was hoping to race Dena, (would have pushed me a lot harderand been a proper scrap). Still pulled a 25:55...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Marjorie - great work at BRIC and certainly clocking up the metres. Brilliant 5k result too. I dont see much chance of redoing the C2CTC - think I will leave that be. Toby - congratulations on 4th. A massive achievement. Richard - stunning gold medal. Rod and Carol - I am sure you will be online so...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Rod - well done on your 30 mins spm 20

Mike - excellent C2CTC

Me - whacked 2921m on the C2CTC which is only 8m short of what I did for this challenge in 2014. Very happy with that. Currently in boat 1, but not for long.

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Mike - congratulations on a seasons best for 10k. Improvement on the 8 x 500m too. Knocking out the meters day after day. Toby - excellent race at Welsh on Saturday and great news keeping your list of PBs going. Me - not going to say that 8:19.3 is entirely rubbish but it should be 8:17, (loosing t...
