Op sportscholen worden de ergs helemaal nooit schoongemaakt, voorzover ik weet. Een instructeur vertelde mij dat.

De erg, waar ik meestal op zit, piept behoorlijk.

Thanx for the explanation. I think the weight and length does it. When I am comparing my PB's with other Dutchmen, I often see that they are much taller and heavier than me. But heavyweight is heavyweight (>75 kg). I am not a real heavyweight type of person. Just got heavy bones  and too much ...

Been rowing 2 K.

And another 2 K later in the evening.

George, I do not understand how you can row such fast splits with only 26 spm.
We have a young guy at the gym who can row at 46 spm.

Reducing the distance and reducing the pace. B) Not working out at all, when it's hot makes me feel worse. Since it will be hot for the rest of the month... not working out is not an option. When is erging dangerous ? · By temp. up to 24° Celcius: no problem. · By temp. from 25 to 26° Celcius: there...

Thanx Ben Rea ! I think 20 minutes separates the men from the boys on the 5 K. I'll postpone this transition for a while and will continue doing longer rows or at least frequent rows at a steady pace for my one million meters. The weather in Europe is very hot and sunny at the moment. It is go...

The size of the erg: One size fits all ?

Hello,

How is it possible that different people can use the same erg ?
I myself am 1.78 meter.

I mean when one buys a bicycle, there are bicycles in all different sizes and a bicycle can be adjusted.
Since I am rather average, I do not think it poses a problem for me.

Hi,

I also cannot erg at a speed of 12 spm. I have to hold back all the time at that speed.
Normally, when I do not think about what I am doing and do not look at the monitor I find an natural rythm. Which is 29/30 spm.
