Hi, I started the topic 'the ideal resistance' and learned there for the first time about the draf factor. The drag factor is displayed on the monitor, if you press rest and ok buttons at the same time and then row a few strokes. The reasons for the change are also given in that topic, though opinio...

I think your HR is too high for your age. There are graphics for that in every gym. But the majority of posters do no agree with me.
I would not trust myself with a HR of 180, never go beyond 155.
Your time says that you have an average condition for somone your age.

Hi Ben Rea, Good Eye ! I liked the lay-out and I am not a very creative person myself. Leaves some room for improvement though. I also saw this ticker factory thing somewhere else. You are a bit ahead of me rowing towards the one million meter mark. Cannot even see you, while the earth is not...

Hi, I checked the drag factor in the Gym by pushing the buttons rest and ok. Now I'll start to experiment. It turned out that up till now I've always rowed with a very high DF ( 190 ). So, that's what I am used to and all my PB are rowed that way. Today I rowed a new PB mtih damper level 6 instead o...

Thanx a lot. :D
This is some good advice. I'll check the drag erg and see if it needs to be cleaned. DF 200 + is too high a DF for me.

The ideal resistance

At the gym the instructor told me that the fastest time is realised by rowing with the highest resistance ( 10 in the Gym ). Is it? I also rowed fast a fast 2 K rowing with resistance 9 . I think maybe especially rowing short distances like 500 meters, it is easier to row at a high pace with a someh...

I think there should be a balance in any forum. Some people tend to post more than others. That's is no problem to me. And it always seems to reinforce itself. A heavy poster gets heavier during his job, cause he feels he needs to react to all the other posters in the topic. The latter is not necess...
