in answer to the topic question. R1. I could do one stroke, then get off and have 55s rest... But I guess thats not what you are asking. For me about r16, anything lower feels "jerky". mostly conditioning. hardest part is boredom and numb ass - at least at the intensity I go. I guess if you are after a sub 2:00 split, then other factors come into play too. Elena Buryak was targeting an insane 100k (sub 6:30 is i remember correctly), which for a HW Female (albeit olyimpian) is quit...

yup. in my case it as hashimoto.
autoimmune disease of the thyroid..

under function caused me to gain 20kg, feel like a sloth. also my rest HR dropped to 35.

you can have your ths values checked quite easily. hashi is a little more complicated to find.
hormones suppliments can help

i find one of the adventagous of getting old is that my eyesight is deterioating... not being able to see the pace will be quite rewarding...

Haven’t really thought about this years targets.
Haven’t done a TT in about 6 months. Might wait until after the 50.
100k and a 24 hr tandem looks good.
