100% agree. If they aren't too expensive then this is the only option imo
Ditto for rowing, and Skierg for skiing.

Let's ignore the issue

If anything goes, there can be no cheaters. If every advantage is constrained there can be no winners. I'm in favor of completely ignoring the issue, as long as people don't do actual physical harm to others or themselves. Drug testing is invasive, makes things worse, and I wish it to soon be aboli...

Re: Please help me row slower...

I'm wondering what I should be aiming for with a half- or full-marathon goal. If I row at 175 to 180 watt avg. for a 10k (at 24 spm or so), should I aim to cut 25 to 30% off of that for a marathon, or what? This depends on your pace and endurance. If you do a few preparation workouts, for example 4...

Re: Please help me row slower...

My Skierg pace was 26s slower than 2k pace, but I've recently slowed it to 32-34s slower. My all day pace on the Rowerg was 33s slower than 2k pace, which was (105) 50% of my heart rate reserve. Distance pace is done with the large display showing meters, and no average pace, so the average pace doe...

Re: SkiErg 2 Handles

These handle hooks hold the handles at pm5 height for easier access, which is where I keep them when not skiing. Swapped out the stock handles for an old pair of swix wrist straps and had a very comfortable 10k skierg yesterday. For me at least, it was a significant improvement! The only downside is...

Re: Model B for £150

Do you think it’s a good buy for the long term or will I likely get frustrated and want to upgrade in no time? That's about $190 US, which isn't that much, and would be an easy sale or give away later. Depending on condition, it's probably an okay buy for the short term, which will help you to see ...

Re: Deep Cleaning

The model B drag factor was quite high, plus the gearing was slightly different. I mostly covered the damper side and perimeter with roofing paper and zip ties, cut to fit. Foam and old truck tire innertube were also used at different times. Covering the side was for reduction of drag, and covering ...

Re: Skierg pb thread

Ray and Steve, thank you very much. :D Steve, My 5k PR is 23:29.5, which along with my 10k was flat out and close to my top speeds for shorter distances. I've been doing a lot of meters to build up a base, probably not needed that much for the Skierg, and am planning to reduce it eventually. I'm ver...

Re: Pm5 Lifetime Meters are wrong

18145 - meters on 12/31/18 - the lifetime total added an extra 37940 meters; 16901 - meters on 01/01/19 - the lifetime total again added 37918 meters. The only difference from usual was testing and using the undefined rest on both days, which appears to have triggered the issue. I've sent an email t...

Pm5 Lifetime Meters are wrong

2128029 - total yesterday 0018145 - meters today 2146174 < should be the total today, but the lifetime meters display shows 2184114, a difference of 37940 meters. What happened? I got the Skierg last July and it's been fine to this point. There has not been an error message. I'm not using a usb or a...

Re: New Rower Where to start

my opionion and confidence of doctors is pretty low, in fact DR. GOOGLE saved me from my first oncologist. In last four years, I"ve learned that forums provide the BEST feedback and have been critical to getting the correct cocktails and care. Now I'm hoping anyone has an idea what has been going o...

Re: New Rower Where to start

Am now at 110# (5'5") with excellent blood pressure, take no meds, and have a resting heart rate of 59. Like you, I've no interest in the hardcore competitive racing-posting-your-stats stuff. I see my erg as a tool to stay healthy and energized and maintain my independence. Also do balance and core...
