At 2016 WIRC, a young lady competed while sliding the sock foot of her extended leg on a large cookie sheet. Same idea as the Union Jack pillow above.
That seems like a crumby way to do it. :D

Re: PM update

Concept 2 has a bigger problem with maintaining motivation to use the product than it does with simply a better rower. I totally agree and see this as being a major issue for them that could easily be improved but won't be, because they have zero interest or ambition in doing this to sell more rowi...

Re: Weird Polar H7/H10 HR data

That might be an issue with modern chest bands and/or the C2 monitor in general. I've been using a Garmin hrm1g the last couple of weeks with a pm5, and noticed right away that the readings were quite high, even for moderate skierg skiing. Yesterday I did a 10k pb, and the first 2k reading was highe...

Re: PM update

generally, criticism of cars is considered healthy and good for the industry. With C2 and C2 owners, criticism is viewed as a threat. Yes, this is true. I have gone to high mileage and Prius car forums quite a bit, where there is discussion of all types of cars, and Prius certainly gets criticized....

Do you mean cleaning the board circuits where the menu/back button makes contact?
I haven't opened one up, so I'm not sure what it looks like inside.

Re: PM3 Menu/Back Button Not Working

Try cleaning the contact surfaces with an eraser and fine sandpaper.
Clean off any build up of crud from the button and make sure it's able to move properly.

Re: Skierg pb thread

New 10k PB on the Skierg, 2:11 faster than 4 weeks ago. I warmed up with a 5k, gradually going faster to just above my goal pace for the start. My goal was under 48:50, and hopefully 48:20 or a little bit faster. time meters 500m spm 47:57.0 10k 2:23.8 43 9:46.3 2000 2:26.5 45 9:41.0 4000 2:25.2 43 ...

Might someone with a non-working leg get a better workout from a ski-erg?

What would you offer?
$500 - only if it has a pm5 - since you could probably sell it for that.

Anything higher depends on condition, what you're willing to pay, and whether you'd rather have a new one.

$800 is way too high though. 650 max.

Re: PM update

The pm5 display information is quite fine for me on it's own. I use Linux.

What would be neat is to run a cord to a large LCD display monitor, that shows a duplicate of the pm5 information.

Especially with the Skierg, this would greatly expand my field of vision.

Re: PM update

Maybe this is already possible. It would be neat if the pm5 could be connected with a much larger computer or projection monitor, so the display could be seen from farther away. You can, the software is called RowPro. It gives you all the info you need and more, but thats not really the best part. ...

My rower and skierg are on my lanai, open to the world on 3 sides.
That sounds awesome, and you must be well trained for heat and humidity.

Re: body gives up but brain wants to keep going

I only put the rowing time in the log book, and the pace, not the time in between. It wasn't a ranking piece due to not being contiguous, but you can enter it manually as 60 minutes. Then add the total meters, and the pace is calculated. For example: 3600 seconds (60 minutes) x 500 / 13017 = 2:18.2 ...
