I have always followed the principle "rest day" as exactly that, a time to kick back, sit down chill out & relax!!! Though i do still engage in walking every single day so that is an activity. But from wa...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Tbh i'll be happy when i can do 8x500m all reps around 1:48-49 pace!! It's hard work, but this makes you appreciate and respect the erg, and the people here who can do these sort of pace averages for fun. And those top boys who do these 500m reps on 1'r @ 1:25-1:27 pace/ave for the set we all have ...

Re: Diabetic..the C2 effect

Well the key actually is not to get overweight and get Type 2 diabetes in the first place. If I cannot dine out, eat a curry and drink wine and beer and a bar of chocolate every week then life is not worth living ! Sure as hell not going to live on grilled chicken breast and no carbs so just a plat...

Re: Using early morning erg sessions to get back to sleep

It's a bad solution!!! And will be made even worse if he continues down this path... it will likely have serious knock on effects.

Try those things i have mentioned (They should help you sleep better) Rather than jumping on an erg at daft 0 clock in the morning.

Re: Using early morning erg sessions to get back to sleep

Bit bizarre that one!! (you would think it should make it even harder to get back to sleep or at least it should do) :? The late morning or afternoon erg sessions for me have helped my sleeping in a couple of ways. 1. I can now drift off to sleep much quicker. 2. I can now sleep longer periods...
