Re: Protein shakes?

Can't go wrong with protein shakes tbh.

I use Whey Protein (Primal Cure) It's ideal!!!

I don't have them everyday... but if i know i won't have time to take on much food sourced protein then i whip up a quick Whey shake.

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Are the pullups etc to be completed all in one go? if so, thats some going. I wondered that too. According to https://wodwell.com/wod/murph/ "Partition the Pull-Ups, Push-Ups, and Squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run" Nevertheless, 100 weighted pull ups is far harder than 200 weighted...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

I never list non-rowing workouts but on Memorial Day (US Holiday) - most all CF gyms do a workout called "Murph" to honor fallen soldiers. If you are not familiar with it - the workout consist of: Wearing a 20# weighted vest and completing: 1 Mile (1600m) run 100 Pull-ups 200 Push-ups 300 Squats 1 ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Great training folks.

I've been keeping the erg sessions short lately, as my weights are priority at the moment.

Yesterday i done 1500m @ 2:00 pace -r23, this was basically to warm up for my 1hr 15 weightlifting session, last session of de-loading week.

Today i done 2000m @ 1:57 r24.

If I recall correctly, the fan cage and therefore the chain are slightly to the right of the railing, so that is a normal occurrence.
The actual chain is located central to the rail, well it is on my machine.

I just keep an eye on my average split pace to see where I am at. I probably analyze the monitor too much, I rarely look away from the screen and the information.
Exactly the same
Haha same here... even thinking i might have OCD regarding this tbh :D

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Got my repairs to my erg finished yesterday, new foot plates and new rail. I haven't been on another erg for about 5 years and hadn't realised how bad mine had become. The lock mechanism was nearly touching the floor  now it's back where it should be. Did a 10k this evening and realise it's g...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

We have all felt 'there's no way I can continue at this pace' and a few minutes later it suddenly improves as your mind accepts it and let's you get on with it. Indeed!!!! I hate it when i hit these hurdles when i'm going some on the rower, but they are what they are. But it gives good satisfaction...

6k today... and phewweee it was crazy hot n humid, even with a big fan blowing on me at full belt  Funny how the mind works when you're on this machine. Done a 1k WU @ 2:07... then tucked into the 6k session, with a target pace of 2:03, and a SR target of 22'. The first 1k felt really comfort...

5 hrs of coastal trail MB' yesterday, in the glorious sunshine, with a nice cooling sea breeze wafting in off the ocean... enjoyed the day immensely :D Where was the trail, Anth? It's a trail that goes along the north east coast, from Roker pier to Tynemouth. But it's about 8+ miles MB ride from my...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

6k today after a bit of a break from the erg. This was a re-row of the 6k i done on the 28th' of last month. Stuck with the same pace and rate, but actually felt much better this time around in the session, and end up going a tad faster overall :D Cooler conditions also were nice :) 6000m - r21 - 2:...

I'd just send it back to C2 for a replacement.

Why should you need to faff about trying to sort out the brand new machine you just purchased lol.
