Re: Rowing in Zwift - suggestion to make it happen

Disappointing because they could have picked up a HUGE number of rowers during the covid-19 crisis, they are hopeless. Who spends years getting a product working and then doesn't release it ? Obviously they still have huge problems with getting it working properly or they would at least release a Be...

Re: ErgData Testing With Samsung Galaxy A51

Thanks for the clarification. I will therefore stick with V168 for the time being with my older phone. As Samsung and Apple have over 75% market share in the USA and most over western countries a compatible phone list wouldn't be that long. If you think it's still to long then a list of the current ...

Re: ErgData Testing With Samsung Galaxy A51

Strange I'm running the even older Samsung Galaxy A3(2017) and no issues whatsoever. It would be great if Concept 2 could make a list of phones that DO work with ErgData with no problems because when I replace my current phone it would be a consideration because of how much I use ErgData. Probably w...

Re: Help with PM2 Rev 2.1

Similar problem with a PM2. Worked ok but then with cooler weather and room temperature would cut out and not restart. Stripped it down, used a hairdryer to add some heat and try and remove moisture. It worked Kept an eye on it and it went nuts again after about 7hours of checking every 30mins. App...

No problems with a Window 10 PC using the Concept 2 utility, you must be using a Mac.

Re: PM5 firmware, September 2020

If you run ErgData it pops up with a message when you open it that a new Firmware version is available which is cool. Currently on V168 but I think I will hold off from updating to 169 for a few months as my current setup is about as complex as it can get and there are no problems at all with it cur...

Re: Problem with RowPro

I never just leap to the latest version of RowPro, if its not broken don't try and fix it. Problem is with the trial you may have no choice ? Using a PM5 on V168 with RP 5.4.1 and a fairly decent PC, its a Hp Z240 i7 CPU with the GeForce GTX750Ti video card and 16Gb of RAM. No issues whatsoever with...

Re: Accuracy of the PM5

Did you buy the erg new ? If you got it second hand first just check its configured to the right model of rower and you can then rule out a PM5 problem. Your pace is really really slow for some reason so your not using your legs to put power into the stroke. With enough leg speed and power the 500m ...

Re: Model D maintenance/Upgrades newbie, help with PM5

It depends on how old your Model D is as to the version of tach pickup you have already fitted. They all work fine, except the later version has TWO coils and not ONE so it generates more current and has the ability to totally self power the PM5. I would first try leaving your PM3 a day without batt...

Re: PM5- Display light time

This has been brought up before. It needs an adjustable time setting in the menu's for when its on battery power but as soon as its on USB power it may as well be on all the time that the monitor is on, maybe even 24/7 so you can find your rower in the dark

Re: PM4 for sale - Brighton, UK £75

You need to post the firmware version from the product ID screen. This will tell the buyer if it's a first or second version of the PM4. The second version is a reliable monitor the first version is now getting pretty old. The firmware probably needs updating as nobody does it and its free to do usi...

Re: Rowing in Zwift - suggestion to make it happen

Well it's going to happen it's just a question of time. You dont spend a year on some thing to then never release it.

Hey anyone reading this please keep us posted when it finally comes out because really I dont stay in touch with the latest news from Zwift because RowPro is still what I'm using.

Don't go from a PM2 to a PM3 if you have to buy it, just go with a new PM5.

Re: Help with PM2 Rev 2.1

You can just put solder down both sides of that 8 pin IC, whip the iron from one side to the next quickly and just flick it off the board. Thats what make the PM2 such a great monitor, you can easily replace all the parts on the board. Try removing and soldering some of the later devices like the BG...

Re: Help with PM2 Rev 2.1

C10 will not be the problem. Have you got the plus and minus 3V from the 1044 ? Put you meter across the two yellow tantalums C10 and C11 observing the polarity of the capacitors. When the 1044 fails it drops the -3V output. The LCD display requires an AC supply of +3V and -3V and will not come on w...
