Re: Seat grinds to halt?

Sounds like a technique problem. The white seat rollers are not supposed to break up and last a long time. Sounds like the seat is trying to skew because it has an uneven force on it from the left to the right hand side. The lower roller is there just to prevent accidental lift, which shouldn't be h...

Re: Save HR bluetooth/ANT+ connection in PM5

Another problem appears to be it can only remember 1 and I have 3 belts. Same here. So I make sure to use the same belt every time. Hitting Connect for every row is not acceptable in 2020. Doesn't worry me to be honest it takes only seconds, what pisses me off is when things start failing to connec...

Re: Help with diagnosing PM 2 Rev 2.3 issue

They are worth fixing. I'm even refurbishing the battery terminals and I get them re-plated in a batch of 70 to 90 at a time. Also I clearcote the boards in the battery area once repaired with Electrolube AFA so this stops any damage with minor battery acid leaks in the future. If the board is reall...

If your in the UK, Simons repair listing is on E-Bay UK. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NO-FIX-NO-FEE-Repair-Concept-2-Pm1-Pm2-Pm3-Pm4-Pm5-Rowing-Rower-Monitor-Service/283942114818?hash=item421c44d602:g:S-QAAOxyoVZTJI-U They are worth repairing if you like the simplicity of the PM2. Essentially if you o...

Re: Help with diagnosing PM 2 Rev 2.3 issue

Where are you in the world ? There are only 2 people on the planet fixing these. I'm one in New Zealand the other is Simon in England. The LCD requires two key Voltages that appear on the little yellow tant capacitors in the centre at the bottom of the board. One will be 3V the other will be about -...

Have you got the latest firmware on the PM5 ?

Re: Body measurements and rowing

Made the suggestion that Concept 2 start gathering the sort of data your interested in years ago but nobody is interested. What I was really only interested in when it all boils down is to compare myself to others with near identical stats and in that way you could get a true level of fitness and po...

Re: Model C, PM4, Loging data to Android via USB C & Stand - advice please

I would move to a PM5 if you want to start using Ergdata. The latest PM5 running V168 firmware can do it all including running Ergdata and Rowpro at the same time because it has Bluetooth. The micro in the PM5 is way faster and the onboard flash memory replaces the very slow logcard with limited mem...

Re: Maximum intensity before machine failure

Yes the Concept 2 rower can handle it but only IF it is well maintained. The one way or clutch bearing in the flywheel needs a bit of lube every few years and all the fasteners that hold the front leg in particular needs to be checked for anything loose. The crud needs to be kept off the slide and t...

Update it to the latest firmware and do a proper factory default reset.

Push the MENU button 4 times and it turns off.

Re: Unable to assemble the pedal

I'm picking the blue blob is a form of Loctite.

Its not really needed as the threads are "Self tightening" due to the direction of the pedal rotation on the shaft. Just s light nip with the right tool and you should be fine. Never had a problem on my road bike.

Re: Rowing in Zwift - suggestion to make it happen

Yeah I'm sure they will get it right but one thing for sure is that I dont want to be trying to hit keyboard keys while rowing so the automatic view changes need to have some form of logical shift as you move around the course so the majority of people are happy just focusing on the rowing.
