Re: British Rowing Virtual Champs
FWIW The nameless one was in my login group as the 60-64s and 65-69s raced together. Thought after login he was warming up as there was 'like' a spinning wheel against his name (similar to rowpro) but I guess it wasn't the same. No surprise he did'nt race, turned up at BRIC once, saw him warm up and...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)
Cheers Mike for watching. I only made the decision to compete around 3oc Saturday morning! Woke up around then and felt not too bad so dragged my body up to the velodrome. Glad I did :D Although Nigel Glover gave me a harder race than I really wanted. Not to fussed with the time as I know I'm in bet...

Hi guy's n gals thought I'd pop in to say best of luck to all at BRIC tomorrow. I'm meant to be starting but have been fighting a cold all week and sitting here tonight I seem to be going downhill fast so if I'm not there tomorrow at least you'll know why. Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)
Thought I'd pop in just to show I'm still alive.
Motivation pretty low through the summer but managed to do something most days, finally managed in the last two weeks to keep with some sort of structured training so we'll see how it goes.

Best of luck TPK, I did have thoughts of going to St Austell myself but binned that idea a while back. Just not in 'the mood' to push myself atmTwo Pudding Kid wrote: ↑February 20th, 2019, 4:17 am. Me - a journey to St Austell to knock out 2k. Hoping for 8:34 this time.

Re: Should there be more drug testing in masters rowing?
I'd guess if you thought you were in line for a Master's WR you'd take advice, you'd learn all the WADA rules and not leave anything to chance. I don't think Dan Staite ever offered any plausible excuse for his EPO enhanced cycling and rowing performances. A naïve Google search: https://www.google....

Re: Should there be more drug testing in masters rowing?
That cyclist's excuse was contaminated meat (he ate a dodgy beef burger like Alberto Contador). Those sorts of excuse don't wash. He must have known the master's world record was up for grabs so why would he take a risk with possibly contaminated food. The guy was on the sauce and knew it. I know t...

Re: Should there be more drug testing in masters rowing?
FWIW At BRIC this year and last (if I remember correctly) there was a statement in the competitor handbook that all competitors could be subject to drug testing but I’m not aware of any actually happening. I do also seem to remember it was reported by ‘two pudding kid’ I think, (sorry TPK if it wasn...
