Re: Scosche Rythum anyone?

I really don't like messing with the traditional straps and these seem to get great reviews. Has anyone used one with there pm5? I'm curious how well they pair sync up and how accurate you find them compared to the chest straps. Thanks guys I have one and haven't had any issues pairing with the PM5...

This isn't exactly encouraging.
I don't use Android for rowing but I have used both the Tickr and the Scoche Rythm+ successfully with the rower and various devices simultaneously.

Re: Utility 7 Beta Crashes

Did you use your old USB or start with a clean one? I normally don't use a USB stick anymore and just use ErgData to upload rows. My daughter still uses a USB stick that she has been using for quite awhile and we tend to batch upload every few days and the last few have been with the beta version.

I'm sure the time they spent untying it from Windows and .NET will come in very handy.

Re: PM5 and Ant+

The Wahoo TICKR works well and is dual ANT+ and Bluetooth which gives great flexibility.

Re: Do I need the PM5 or will the PM3 do?

I found the Polar receiver so much of a bother with range/sensitivity issues I would recommend a PM4 for ANT+ or PM5 which has both ANT+ and Bluetooth support. The PM5 also allows you to run ErgData wirelessly over Bluetooth so you can immediately upload results to the Concept2 website. From there y...

The H7 has bluetooth and the old Polar analog format. So it is a dual transmitter but not ANT+.

Re: Newbie Info Plz "Software Choices"

They are no doubt monitoring the uptake of the new Mac version. The more licences they sell the more resources they can put into software development. There were loads of people moaning there was not a native Mac version available but how many of those people have gone out and got the software now ...

It's dual mode Bluetooth and ANT. I use one in either mode with the PM5 with no issues.

Re: New Concept2 Utility and Firmware for PM5

Remisture: To add stroke data the additional data would need to be written to the flash drive; this would have to be added in a future firmware version but this is not planned at present. This part is disappointing. Why is that? I had thought that the same data that Ergdata captures and uploads (on...

Another alternative which is quite good and compatible is the Scosche Rythmn+ Heart Monitor Armband.

Bluetooth or ANT+. A fairly inexpensive belt that broadcasts both is the Wahoo Tickr.

Re: PM5 is an immature product with lots of disappointments

As for the USB sticks: I have had some difficulty in finding USB sticks small enough and obsolete enough for the firmware to be compatible with filesystem etc. and as a result only use original C2 sticks. I am seriously considering going back to taking photos of the display and using the OCR-based ...
