Re: ErgData - interval workout problem

Thanks Stewart - were you also unable to download the TCX & FIT files?

Looks like I shall have to start recording on my Garmin too.

Re: Ski Erg for Max Cardio-How To Maximize?

I'm 5'3. I would say my arms are significantly proportionally longer than my legs. I think I can easily finish with my hands midway down my shins. It would be interesting to video and view my action. I'm possibly overdoing all of the crunching, squatting and arm pulling bits. The other thing is that...

ErgData - interval workout problem

I've just done a SkiErg 10 x 500m / r0:00 interval workout, recorded with ErgData (Android). It has synced to my logbook but when I view it, there is no splits data (ErgData shows this data as normal). Further, the pace, spm and hr traces of all 10 intervals are included simultaneously on the same g...

Re: Ski Erg for Max Cardio-How To Maximize?

I've tried using a step and it is an improvement - no longer 'hitting' the end of travel of the cords. Don't think the C2 extensions are an option for me as I use gym machines.

Re: Ski Erg for Max Cardio-How To Maximize?

Stroke lenght, don,t go to long, keep the strokes snappy and don,t squat much. The lats upperback do the work. I've definitely been doing it wrong. I knew the theory about not reaching too high with the arms, starting the stroke with the handles near head level and elbows at 90 deg etc, but beyond ...

Re: Forum Flyers

They could have done so much better with the ordering of the reps in that CTC 777m 111m 666m 222m 555m 333m 444m would have been easier to row (get the big one out of the way first). The current order is all over the place. Or the reverse of that - diverging: 444, 333, 555, 222, 666, 111, 777 :shoc...

Re: First time on the Concept2, please critique everything..

Hi, Not an expert but some observations that may be useful: As said before, your back is too rounded - you need to try to keep it straight and hinge at the hip. You look very cramped as you are returning to the catch - knees are coming up between the arms with no clearance. I think a couple of thing...

Re: Forum Flyers

Good stuff from Lizh and Jean to make it five. Close times between Lizh and Lana.

10k in the warm weather - that'll be popular. Ah well, I need a new 10k pb; think I'll have to give it a miss on the skierg however...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Tried today's C2 Workout of the Day - Medium: "3 x 2000m rate increase / 4 min easy Row three 2000 meter pieces. In each piece the first 1000m @ 24 spm. Then 500m @ 26 spm, 250m @ 28 and 250m @ 30." I thought about changing it to r22, 24, 26 and 28 instead, but stuck with that prescribed as the Wolv...

Re: HRM and Ergdata

I tried ErgData for the first time this afternoon. The wireless connections from Polar HR strap to PM5, and PM5 to ErgData worked ok, and the workout synced ok to both the C2 online logbook and my Strava log. Strava gives 4 graphs: speed (km/h); power (W); hr; stroke rate. The x-axis can be toggled ...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

New 5k pb - 23:13.7, 2:19.3, r24. (19.2s better than previous best done for the IRL on 21/12/17.)

A bonus really as was just trying ErgData for the first time: all seemed to connect and sync ok including hr data.

Re: Forum Flyers

When I saw Jenny's new time earlier, I was thinking who's going to improve on their time to move boat 1 up a place... Up pops Henry with a massive effort. Mine today (first time on the erg since May 7, and boy could I tell): 8:40.9, 1992, 2:10.7, r30, df 110 Splits: 2:10.3, 500, 2:10.3, r31 2:09.9, ...

Re: Forum Flyers

Crikey, that's going some Jack. Impressive to get 2:04 to 2:05 pace with a df of only 105 (and r26) - you must really have the knack of accelerating the handle/wheel hard during the drive.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

Tackled the 30' tonight as previous PB was below my projected result based on all my PBs from 1min to 10k. Improved it from 6,182m to 6,328m: 30:00, 6328, 2:22.2, r24 05:00, 1048, 2:23.1, r24 10:00, 1043, 2:23.8, r24 15:00, 1044, 2:23.6, r24 20:00, 1047, 2:23.2, r23 25:00, 1056, 2:22.0, r24 30:00, 1...
