Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
I don't know if everyone around the world heard or not, but in Newtown, Connecticut ... You'd need to live in a cave with no Internet or TV to miss that. The discussion here in the UK after the initial shock of another American shooting has been all about your gun controls (or lack of). There's bee...

Re: 1W/pound body weight, for 20-30 minutes, at rating 20
I must say the amount of acronyms in rowing is rather daunting for beginners. I was also wondering what the whole 1w/pound body weight, at rating 20 meant. I'm used to cross country running, and in comparison to rowing there really isn't much to it.. Good information though; I'm sure after some more...

Re: might be slow, but
Awesome, I appreciate the advice / help Bob, so thank you. I have seen you post on other threads, and you seem very knowledgable, so I have a question for you. Would you reccomend RowPro? I have used the trial a bit, and it looks like it has a lot of potential. I get the feeling it would take a litt...

might be slow, but
Well I rank 305 out of 323 for my age / weight in the 5000 meter, but my time is getting much better. I'm very new to rowing, and i'm still experimenting with power vs strokes per minute. For example today I finished 5000 meters in 23:33 with 27 SPM, and my 1st 5000meter I did was 25:24 with 29 SPM ...

Thanks for the tip Bob, I watched the video and that was helpful. Tonight I think i'll take a off night and just work on technique and see how that goes.

Re: New member just rowed first 2000M
Welcome, I'm new as well, and rowed my 1st 4000M (2 workouts). I haven't been able to get near your time, but I managed 9:36 and that required effort to achieve  A 4000 meter in 9:36 would be a pace of 1:12. Even for just 500m there is only one person in the records who has gone faster than t...

Welcome, I'm new as well, and rowed my 1st 4000M (2 workouts). I haven't been able to get near your time, but I managed 9:36 and that required effort to achieve  About a year ago I lost 40lbs, and I felt great. Since then I stopped working out, and gained 30lbs which i'm pretty sure isn't musc...
