That sounds like a long, fun race. BTW it's in Boston England if anyone was first confused like I was.

Thank you. I know I certainly was thinking Boston, MA.

It's been a long time, but I'm coming back to the team. I'm looking forward to taking my seat towards or back from the moon or wherever we are now.
Welcome back.
It's always good to have more people helping us get back to the moon.

Re: At what age did you notice recovery was impaired?

Yes I would say 50. You can then start taking drugs to extend you performance, which is what I think many people who are really competitive by nature do but the slowdown has been quite marked since most of my best times were set at age 45. You tread a fine line line between speed and recovery time....

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

With the "do not race your training" wisdom of experienced rowers front and central in my mind, I sat down to do an hour at HM pace. 12.00 2759 2.10.4 ("ooh, this is easy. Bang on pace target") 24.00 2776 2.09.6 ("bit fast, but still conversation pace") 36.00 2785 2.09.2 ("hmm. I have no discipline...

Re: Rowing your running miles

If I may, let me put a different twist on this question. I just stopped running after 33 years due to a knee problem. During runs, my bpm was always 120+ for a 30 min run with my primary goal of cardio (aerobic) training and calorie burning which was usually 450 for the 30 min run. I just purchased...
