Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

@ Dave, well done on the PB. Great consistency too. What did you use to minimise the picture? Thank you, Stu, appreciated! I've been using https://postimages.org , it allows you to resize your upload to various different settings, including a message board size. @OtWSL, you're posting some intense ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

30 minutes restricted to 20spm Metres...................... 7673 Average pace.............. 1:57.2 Drag Factor................ 125 This is a lot lower than the 35spm or so I'd do at free rate! :o It's a new PB by 0.8 on average pace and 47 metres in distance so happy with that. :P Looks like the po...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Good luck with your race David. I sense a PB is ready to be hammered! Eat well and pace it smartly! I'm sure you'll smash it!

HM TT today that went quite well.

New PB at 1:22:48 (1:57.8)

I'll take it and a nice hot shower followed by a few ice packs and a whole lot of steak tips.

Have an awesome weekend.

David

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Today: Ice on the river, so unfortunately I was designated with 4 hours of land training! Session 1: 10 minutes split into a 1.25k run and rowing the furthest you can in the remainder of the time. We did this 5 times with 5' rest between each. Splits on the ergs were about: 1014m @1:51.9 984m @1:51....

Re: Pete Plan Thread

@mitchell - Awesome. Bet that feels good. I have never done the races on RowPro before. They look interesting, but I can never be sure I will be on time. Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

I had a terrible session today... missed all my targets. Warmup 1K /4:00.1 - light intervals 5 minutes handle down TARGET #1 - 10K PB attempt at a target pace of 1:57.5 (my current PB pace is 1:58.1) - ABORTED after 2500m due to stiffness in the forearms. Stroke rate was too low / pace out of the g...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Great job Rod. Records seem to be being beaten every couple of weeks with you Rod. Congratulations! 2x20' with 10' rest. Open rate. DF still at 100 so much lighter than I'm used to. 5451m (1:50.0) @28spm 5466m (1:49.7) @28spm Total was 10917m (1:49.9) @28spm. This was definitely a tough one but I'm ...

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!

10k semi-intended PB today. Was meant to be a hard distance session but not necessarily a PB. Planned to sit on 1.56s and 1.57s and see where I was for a final push at 2k. Ended up beating my prior PB by 9''! Splits 38:35.9 10,000m 1:55.8 30 169 3:52.5 1,000m 1:56.2 28 153 3:53.0 2,000m 1:56.5 28 1...

Re: Resistance Setting for predetermined Workouts

Hi, I'm new to both the C2 and this forum, I'm using LiveRowing and their predefined workouts, particularly the C2 workout of the day. There is a "5 x 750m / 2 min easy" workout, but it doesn't say anything about resistance setting. They have leaderboard, but how can the leaderboard be accurate if ...

Re: What Training Have You Done Today?

Supposed to do a club workout today but I had a HD... ugh... It was supposed to be 12', 8', 7' all at 6K pace but I stopped a little more than 2' into the 8' piece. My mistake was going out way too fast in the beginning. I tried to beat my actual 6K PB pace but it was just a bit too much since I've...

Good Day, Another 8 inches of snow today and the wife needed to go out to school, so I got to shovel before rowing and will get to again later. Cross training at its best, haha. Re: Pete Plan Thread

That's a very interesting point that Henry and Tom make re: erging only being done in the off season so it's not their peak performance. That had never occurred to me before. I know it is insane. Imagine what they could get in their peak! I think it was 1:36 but that is still insane. That is like 2...

Re: Pete Plan Thread

Think simply undefeated. Murrey had a 5.42 2k, but that 2k testing was always out off season, in real topform he ofcourse raced otw. Bond was on the erg a bit slower, but also a good bit smaller. Strange thing that on the erg Murrey rated a lot higher, while in the boat the ofcourse matched eachoth...
