Hello! So, I have recently started observing a problem with one of my teams ergs. It has an older PM3 (firmware 303, so circa 2008). The problem comes for setting intervals. If the flywheel is at all moving when you go to set an interval and hit the check mark it shows "Interval 0" and you cannot start the pieces. Shortly afterwards it comes up with "Code 50" and states that there is a drag factor problem. Also, when it is going, it seems to register strokes even when I have not taken any recently (the flywheel is still moving a little bit). On a similar note, it sets fine if the pick up is not plugged in to the monitor. So it seems like there might be some problem with the calibration? Maybe something with the pickup? I'm at a loss.
I've dug around online and not been able to come to anything. I'm going to clean out the fan and see if that helps. Would updating the firmware make a difference?
Thanks! I appreciate any help.

Re: Problem with Erg
The first thing I would do is update the firmware, this pretty much then takes the monitor out of the equation.
Still a problem, then swap the monitor to another rower and test it.
You would also check that in the product ID screen its set to the right version of rower, i.e Model C or D/E etc.
Then go into the Drag Factor, row for a few seconds and see what number is displayed.
Clean out the fan housing and make sure the drag is adjustable to over 200.
Still a problem, then it may be pickup related.
