Model C, hints to make framelock less difficult to unlock?!

Hi all, the Concept 2 website video makes the unlocking of the model C look so easy. It is so hard! Just got a used one in great shape. Does anyone have any tips to make the unlocking easier? No string-pulling easy-unlocking going on here. :/

I use a 1 kg hammer head to release it (or tighten when it gets noisy). Have to remember to knock it in the right direction.

Sell your rower on eBay or Craigslist. Buy a model D2 with PM5 which has the easier to split newer framelock design.
