Model C PM5 retrofit kit

Post by kini62 » February 13th, 2019, 8:57 pm

Just go and installed my retrofit PM5 and damn! the monitor is a foot above my head or it feels like it compared to the PM2+ which came down much lower. My neck was getting sore looking up at it over the course of a 10K. Why is it so high?

Probably not the best thing to do but I reversed everything so I can put the monitor more in my sight line. Noticed last night though that it vibrates quite a bit when I come in for the catch and push off.

I just don't think I could get used to the monitor up that high, it's actually quite ridiculous. A little disappointed in that.

Nice to have a monitor again though.

Its so high because people put the monitor too low and when they accidentally let go of the handle it smashes the glass display of the monitor.

I have replaced countless displays on PM2's and the older machines where the arm didn't stop the monitor from going down low.

Sooner or later everyone lets go of the handle.

Thanks. I've never let it go. "Yet"
