Entering Effort - Apple Watch/iOS Workout App

Post by Bitnik11 » May 1st, 2025, 5:48 pm

Hello all - PM5/ErgData user here. With a recent release of iOS (not sure when it started), I get automatically prompted to enter/confirm an effort level for the workout when using one of the Apple built-in workouts (e.g: "Outdoor Walk" or "Outdoor Run"). When I use the ErgData rowing workout, I have to manually open Fitness on the Apple Watch, find the ErgData workout I just did, tap "Effort" and select the level. I like the Training Load feature of the Apple Fitness app and this per-workout effort score seems to be what feeds it. It would be nice when finishing an ErgData workout to be prompted automatically for an effort level instead of having to remember to manually navigate into the Fitness app and enter it.

Anyone found a setting to turn this on? If not, let's hope maybe a future version of ErgData will adopt this functionality. :D
