RowErg in an apartment - acoustic matting

Hi everyone. I'm about to move into an apartment with my RowErg. The agent selling the apartment assures me that they'll be no issues with noise in relation to neighbours. However, to be on the safe side, I'm going to purchase some acoustic matting to place under the erg. Can anyone recommend any manufacturers/suppliers? Many thanks.

I used soft foam tiles and covered them with the original Concept2 mat. Works for me (my kids complain about the music, not my machine...)

Well, I've got the C2 mat, so that's a start!

Carpet runner and pads for carpet runners might help noise.
Anything you do to box in the flywheel will radically change drag factor, but will also cut the periodic "whooosh" noise that is the majority of erg noise.

Don't discount the effect of any soft furnishings that will also help dampen the noise.

Thanks, I can imagine a runner and pad working really well. Just the right width, and a fairly inexpensive solution.
I agree that the issue is the whooosh sound. Be good if there was a way of 'silencing' the flywheel without affecting the drag factor.

Good point. It's also recommended that the erg is positioned centrally in the room - rather than have the noise bouncing off walls.
