I bought my ModelD @ the C.I.R.C. and it work4ed firn for 3 days.

Thursday last week ago, the monitor would not turn on.
I tried all methods including resetting at the back.
Then it worked (but ofcourse erased my memory and I AM a date 'nut".
So I started using the log card.ALL was fine until yesterday.

Tnoight I tried to row, the monitor would not go on.
Even after pressing 'rest' at the back, still nothing.'I rowed, hoping it would start up again.
No results (I rowed for 2 hrs (typical time fram for a 1/2 marathon for me but ofcourse i do not know it if made a difference).

I am still without a PM3 monitor which will not turn on,
I am concerned.
this machine only had about 15,000m on it since last rest (and prior to that about 20,000m).

What can I do (short of sending the monitor back to Concept2 -postage quite frankly is going to be costly enough I will need to wait for weeks to just be able to pay for the shipping costs).
Does anyoe have any answers on what I can try, to salvage my machine.,'this is disrressing considering it had been used barely at all.

I had a similar problem but i soon found out all i needed to do was change batteries. that worries me since the machine is new and the batteries died after rowing 46k meters in the first week of owning the machine.
How long should batteries last?

I've rowed nearly 2 million meters on a set of batteries. Unless the batteries were bad they should last a lot more than 47K on a PM3.

JHAMD:

Sometimes the PM3 or PM4 has just suffered a bad static shock, and appears dead. Pulling a batteryt, waiting a while, and putting back in may resurect the PM3 or PM4; if the batteries are truely dead then the shock put the PM3 into a state that was consuming power continuously.
