Forum Update

Post by David Hart » March 4th, 2010, 8:13 am

AS you may have noticed, we've upgraded things pretty substantially in these parts. Hopefully everything should have been transferred/upgraded across, but if you spot any errors/awkwardness, then drop me a PM/post in this thread/email me at website@concept2.com and I'll jump on it.

Best,

Very nice. Is there an easy way to see all posts in last 24 or 48 or 72h?

Couldn't find a link to the Forum on the C2 site. Edit, found, under Online Tools
08-1940, 179cm, 75kg post-op (3 bp January 2025).

If you click on View active topics on the main page, then you can see topics posted in from the last day/week/month etc. It's not currently flexible enough to do 48 hours/72 hours etc, although we could look at that at some point in the future.

Thanks David, looks good. You should get Chris Rowe to give you some more of the mods he's done to the UK forum. It has an auto refresh for the un-read icons that I like.

Any chance on getting the old getdaily.php program back on phpBB3 (I know that was an ugly phpBB2 mod) as that's easier to use than the active topics stuff.

The getdaily.php stuff wasn't really used that much, so at the moment we'll probably just leave it with View active topics and View new posts, which together seem a pretty decent way of getting a hang of what's new. We can always revisit this in the future, along with any other modifications needed.

Initially I missed the getdaily feature, but once I got used to VAT and VNP, I found that I didn't really need the getdaily anymore.
