Report!

Post by Tyn » May 6th, 2006, 11:01 am

Hi C2, Hi All,

On the old forum we had a report button, didn't we?
I could pm a moderator, but what can he/ they do then?

There are some spam-related and porn-related threads set up lately!

Can I/we delete them?

Your thoughts please!

Happy Days!

So far, most of them have been obvious so that it is easy to ignore them. If you don't bother to open them, they are no problem.

An additional clue is the case of someone with a single post. A first poster is usually a newbie with a sincere interest in getting advice. If a first post appears different from that - like a poll, beware of it.

Bob S.

Spam in a thread...

Post by Alissa » May 16th, 2006, 10:45 am

We're now getting spam posted in the middle of a thread. See this one. How should we be reporting this sort of thing?

we've modified the forum so that email confirmation is required - if this turns out not to be sufficient one solution would be to appoint a couple more 'moderators' who would have the permission to delete non-rowing related posts - currently paul and i are the only two who do this - making it hard to keep up...
