Suggestion:

Why not create a forum titled Cross Training and subsequent child forums that relate to the specific sport you cross train for?

Example:

Cross Training -> Moto
Cross Training -> Cycling
Cross Training -> Rock Climbing
Cross Training -> Couch Potatoes

The benefits:

Moto people (like me) can converse and stuf in a "dedicated" area w/o poluting other more general forums.

Moto people (like me) can find specific other groups and what they like to do i.e. reading how the cycling groupies train and find useful.

The point isn't to segregate and classify, but focus in on sport-specific training routines used by those in the same sport.

I think it's a D-Y-N-O-M-I-T-E idea!

Generally, I think the split in the forums here in this "new" version of the C2 forum doesn't work already, and that if anything, C2 should collapse the forums back into one, or just keep a couple of forums, with all training and general and competition Qs in one forum.

I use the "get new" to view the forum, so I rarely pay attention to what forum any particular post is in. However, when I try to search back for a thread that I remember, I often can't figure out what forum it was in or once I find it, often find things in forums that make no sense to me as to why there were initially placed there.

There isn't enough traffic on this forum to justify subforums, and posts about any training, including cross training, are general enough to me to put in the general forum (or the training forum, or the ______ forum?).

Those subjects fit OK in the existing forum structure. Either in the training or in the general parts of the forum.

I use http://c2forum.com/getdaily.php?hours=48 to read the forum so like Michael don't really care where any posting lives.

I would remove the FAQ section as I don't think it works in the way Bill Patton intended when he added that one.

It's a confusing, disorg'd mess if you ask me - that's fine; it is what it is, take it, leave it, whatever.

Yes it is.
That's what makes it so entertaining.
