Galaxy Watch Integration
It would be really cool if Concept 2 ergs or the concept 2 app could integrate with Samsung Galaxy watches to record heart rate data. Right now I'm finding that I end up with two separate workouts- one on the Concept2 app with the erg workout data and then another I record on my watch with the heart rate data, since I currently can't sync a Samsung watch to the app.

Have you tried running Ergdata on your phone?

Re: Galaxy Watch Integration
Try it. I don't know anything about Samsung Galaxy watches.
Re: Galaxy Watch Integration
I have the galaxy 4 watch and I have not been able to synchronize with erg data even though I have it on my phone. I think it doesn't allow it
Re: Galaxy Watch Integration
I am following this. I have a Samsung Watch 6 and PM4 and would love to connect the 2
Re: Galaxy Watch Integration
+1 for this please.
Current Galaxy (and Pixel?) watches don't allow you to use the watch as a standalone HRM. That is, the PM5 will not detect the watch as an HRM.
I believe it's something Ergdata on the phone would have to do or an Ergdata companion app on the watch would have to do.

Count me in. Though I have a model C rower I would do the upgrade to PM5 if the Galaxy 7 watch was integrated. Thanks.

Re: Galaxy Watch Integration
If enabling the Galaxy watch as a HRM, then please also support the Galaxy ring.
ErgData should also support syncing with Google health connect, because Google Fit is end-of-life.

Re: Galaxy Watch Integration
The way to get HR data into Concept2 is to have the heart rate monitor broadcast heart rate data.
Samsung Galaxy watches don't natively broadcast HR data. Makes it hard to capture it. But there are apps you can install on your galaxy that will get it to broadcast HR data, for example 4 apps are given in this tread (disclaimer - no nothing about accuracy of thread) https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/co ... tooth_low/
All of the apps sound like kludges.
Suggest you contact Samsung and see if there is a way to broadcast HR data.
If you want Concept2 to work on it you'll need to send them a note at info@concept2.com, but I'm not sure what you will tell them. There is no obvious way for concept2 to GET the data in real time from your watch.

AFAIK Galaxy ring can broadcast HR data. Have you TRIED connecting your ring to your PM5 ?zieglerrii wrote: ↑July 13th, 2025, 1:24 pmIf enabling the Galaxy watch as a HRM, then please also support the Galaxy ring.

Gogole's AI says these are the steps. Not sure they work, and didn't check your manual, so you may want to research before trying. Note if you get it working, please post and say how accurate the ring data is while rowing. Given the force on the base of your finger from the handle while rowing, please let us know if wearing the ring rowing is comfortable and if the photo sensors in the ring can get accurate data.
Here's how it works:
1. Enable Continuous Heart Rate:
In the Galaxy Wearable app, navigate to your Galaxy Ring's health settings and enable continuous heart rate monitoring.
2. Pair with App:
Ensure the app you're using (e.g., Zwift) supports Bluetooth heart rate monitors.
3. Start Workout:
Begin your workout in the app and initiate the pairing process. The Galaxy Ring should appear as a heart rate monitor option.
4. Monitor Data:
Once paired, the app will receive and display your heart rate data in real-time.
