Ranger - News To Shock
Competitions
Rich's form looks excellent to me, and very powerful.

It looks quite a low stroke rate for the effort though, i.e. 31.4 spm.

Was this his warmup or the race?

His hands move into his body pretty violently, which is fine on the erg but wouldn't be so good in a shell.

On the upside, the ratio looks pretty good, especially by erging standards and it certainly looks like a powerful stroke!

Anyone else?

Cheers, Paul

Actually I was going to add that his ratio is lousy.

That's a result of his excessively low rating and, therefore, should be obvious.

If you want to see a good ratio, then watch the clip of Eskild Ebbesen.

Unless Ranger has discovered the Fountain of Youth, I doubt it is him on the video. Ranger's hair should be grey and less dense!

Also, after three years of relentless pursuit towards the perfect stroke, it should look more refined, with more "suspension", than what we see on the video.

I expect Ranger's stroke to be quite close to what I have seen on Xeno's DVDs.

Just my 2 cents.

Please don't start to criticise the new stroke!!
Or we will have another 2 years of Ranger redefining his stroke.

Ranger's absence from the forum this week ....

Any chance he will race (& complete a 2K) this weekend?

Maybe, he's decided to "walk the walk" rather than "talk the talk"

Interesting to note that Ranger has removed his name from the race at the Canadian Indoors this Sunday. He had previously registered.

http://www.roninracing.com/eventlist.as ... dth=400
