1:25 is a great row for a 500m, good job. If I am doing the math correctly, a 1:18 requires 738 watts, so 168 more watts than your 1:25 (570 watts), or 29% more power. So a 1:18 is a very long way off still. To put this in further perspective for me, doing a 1:15 requires twice the power that I am capable of producing (816 watts vs 408 watts).
