WarmUp Rowing Drills

Post by stuart » October 17th, 2006, 4:28 pm

I have a small blooklet titled 'concept 2 Rowing Workouts'.
It contains about 25 differnt workouts.
Each workout has 5-7 min of Warmup descibed as "Include Rowing Drills and stretching"
What is ment by "Rowing Drills"?

Thanks[/b]

The Concept II Rowing Ergometer, used to be considered a training tool for OTW (On the Water) Rowers.

There are many drills to choose from, all with a particular focus on emphasizing an aspect of rowing technique. As Indoor Rowing became a sport on it's own, many seem to think that "technique" is not so important, however that is not a universally held belief.

Search Google on Rowing Drills or Follow this link and you can download a PDF describing many drills and their purposes.
