It's summer here so our season is in full swing.
Yesterday on the water our coach flogged us and made us do 2 X 1000m plus 4 X 500m intervals on the water in 8s. We were in two eights doing these intervals side by side and there was never anything more than one boat length between us. I got the chance to row in our new Sykes 8+ which is a lovely and very comfortable boat to row. Easy boat to set.
Seat racing soon for future regattas. We have 10 days to get our 2000m erg scores in for the selection committee. I made the mistake of doing mine about half an hour before the above interval work in the boat. I was hurting by the end of that but hung on some how.

Caution: Static C2 ergs can ruin your technique and timing for rowing in a boat.
