Looking for a team.

Post by sillbeer » February 26th, 2014, 9:39 pm

Hey all,

I'm a distance runner and wanted to do something to help me build my core more and supplement my running. I've had my C2 since last Friday and I've only put 10k on it. Not much but I would like to join a team. In running I'm not fast but I log around 30-40+ miles per week depending on weather, family and workload. With the C2 I believe I can easily put on 15k+ per week. Anyways I got my android cable today and haven't tried it yet but I believe I can track all my workouts online now.

I log all my running through the Garmin and Strava site and I'm motived by what I accumulate each year. I'm looking for a team that I can challenge others on and watch my stats on a regular basis.

I looked at the available open teams but I'm hesitant to just join a team. I would like to join a team that's been around for awhile that isn't going to lose steam half way through the year.

Thanks,

- Destin

Destin,
I am a member of free spirits. It's a big international team with a lot of members. The emphasis is inclusiveness. We have some folks that are working on training for racing, and others who are ultra distance aficionados. Still others row just for fun or as cross training for biking or running.

There is a team forum that you can check out here: http://www.freespiritsrowing.com/forum/ ... c1154dd3ed

Check out the why I joined thread to get a flavor of what the team is about. http://www.freespiritsrowing.com/forum/ ... f=4&t=2782

We would be very happy to have you join us.
