Well with Social Distancing in effect I've never been happier to have my rowing machine nearby (no matter where I am in our little basement apartment).

With the grandchildren home from school for the next month and and not able to go anyplace I'm going to let them use my rower as an alternative to school PE.
The challenge for me in the last week has been fighting a constant migraine and still getting some meters in to count toward the challenge. I only have two more days to burn if I'm going to accomplish the 5,000 meters for 25 days of March.
I really feel for those who can't get to the gym to row.

I just hope you're able to get some alternative form of exercise and stay healthy throughout this Pandemic.
I guess this is the perfect time to do some Spring cleaning.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, used up, totally worn out, & loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

Looks like 9 years since my last post - guess I didn't have much to say! Our Y closed Monday, so I'm out for MSMadness and World Erg Challenge. Getting ready for tri's this summer, so more time for biking and running. I'm not going to try outdoor swimming for a while yet. Good luck to the Lunies still able to go for the glory. How do you do it, Ed???

And you're SO CLOSE to your FIFTEEN millionth lifetime meter! A blink of an eye in the time continuum - and it's always good to hear from teammates! Let's hope all the gyms open back up sooner rather than later - because I suspect quite a few people worldwide are going to be missing the gym and its rowers.
Enjoy the biking...and running!

We're in the 6th spot !
Just a little over 100K separates team positions 3 through 6...so there's opportunity there to focus on another team goal ! Yep, we are in different times...but not all is different!
Mud slides!!
5000 m participants 3,614 m ...(down 80 percent) Lunies = 36 (down 47 percent)
10000 m participants 1,118 m ..(down 85 percent) Lunies = 21 (down 2 from yesterday, 52% overall)
Alas - I fell off the 10 K participant list yesterday. Still going strong on the 5 K list. I'd been scheduled for total knee replacement on the 26th, but since that is considered an elective surgery - it's been canceled for now. Rats - thought I might sneak in under the wire! Well, I have more time to get the Challenge completed now. We'll see if gym closures, etc., change the participation curve (it's a factor we've not had before!).
Remember: Even if you're out of the running for the 5 or 10K challenge, you can STILL contribute efforts to the World Erg Challenge!
Welcome back to Bruce T ! Always good to have more teammates!

New PR for me today - first since sometime in 2018, I think. Pulled a 21:51.5 on a 6k.
Congratulations!
That is a great time.

Thanks! I'm fairly sure I have a better time in me. My pacing at the start wasn't right - if I start a bit more aggressively I should be able to comfortably shave 6 to 12 seconds off of the time. We'll see though, I get in my head on PR attempts and have troubles with them.

Good work, Lunies on the World Erg Challenge team! Still not a huge gap between teams in the four to six spots, but a growing distance between teams in the third and fourth positions. We're in the hunt - and you're all making that possible! After all, our schedules have been blown up lately...great to see so many are finding ways to get a workout in!
Hooyah! Looks like a retaining wall is going up against the mud slides!!
