Learning to row with "The Winkelvi"? Cool!! (And "how hard could it be?" Doesn't look that easy!)

No, I don’t learn from experience, and I’m choosing 300K as my WEC goal… What’s YOURS?

I'm in for 100k. OTW doesn't count and I'm not sure I'll be on the erg more than that.

I'm going in for 200k.

Come on team!! Set some goals for yourselves! Remember, these should be challenging without being insane (unless your name is Cap'n Izz). They can be updated as the challenge goes on... Don't be shy! No goal is too small! It's a great motivator to push yourself a little (or a lot! I'm looking at you, Ray! ;) )

So far I have (please correct me if needed):

Goals (in km)
Izz: 300
Pam: 250 (tentative?)
Ray: 352 (sorry, had to round up :P )
Andy: 100
Kyle: 500
Lisa: 200

Yes 2 Day row..... David W - 42,789 Two day’s worth?

Question I am getting ready to do something crazy and was wondering how to do it. On the pm4 you can't set the distance interval higher then 10K I was thinking of doing 2 50K's to get my 100K in one sitting, but the machine won't me set it that way.

Any suggestions on setting this up so I can stop right on 100K.

David

I would love to break 1Million in WEC but with my schedule I don't see that happening, so I will push the limit and put me down for 800K I hope I can hold to that.... Good luck everyone. row long row strong......

2 of Every 3 Soothsayers Agree: "Be Aware of the Ides of March!"

Hey, TimbukTWOian!

Just a fast reminder that the final challenge of the 2012-13 season begins at midnight! Since the rowing season ends at the end of April, this is a great way of making a run towards achieving the fitness goals you had set for the year.

The World Erg Challenge goes from March 15th until April 15th, which is 32 days. This challenge usually brings out the "studs", and usually features some very impressive numbers.

However, even if you're not planning on amazing us, we'd still like your participation. We will most likely average about 125K- 135K per team member, so it would be great if you'd aim for 100K or more for the month. (Remember: Challenge yourself, don't hurt yourself!)

Would you please take the time now to go to http://log.concept2.com/log_team.asp and join TimbukTWO for the WEC 2013 challenge? If you want us to track your goals for this challenge, please post them here, or shoot me a personal e-mail at yyhomnick at yahoo dot com.

We try to post each day's stats as quickly as we can, and we always love to hear what you have to add to the conversation! (WEC stat posts will be done in a color distinct from the regular daily stat posts.)

Towards improved fitness & health,

Cap'n Izzz

Wow, that's a great page! Hint, hint, Pamela...

It says that if David starts with a Just Row, it will stop at 50K. So, he can do 2 of those. Otherwise, he has to set it for 100K counting down, and then his rest times will count towards his total time.
The $99 solution is to spring for RowPro from DigitalRowing, which is much more flexible.
