Considering your late-season start and your recent physical challenges, it's an awe-inspiring accomplishment. Thinking positively that you will soon conquer the physical stuff, you're going to have a stellar 2014 season!!! B) B) B)

Thank you Lisa! Thanks for the positive thinking, I sure could use it! Can't wait for when the challenges I'm facing now are gone. I know knew ones will follow ,such is life. But these one's are getting old. I sure hope they don't interfere in the 2014 season as much as they interfered in 2013!

Yes I am running each day, which is why my rows are shorter now. I'm doing my best to find a good balance with rowing and running. I actually went to Philly last night, met a few friends (one which lives in Oxford England but was in Philly for a osteoarthritis convention) and ran with the thousands of other runners in tribute to Boston

Great rowing Team - honoured to be part of the fantastic effort shown in the March Challenge again!

Thanks for the encouragement! Much appreciated. 1M metres is less than half the goal I set myself at the beginning of the season, but who knew what the tides of fortune were going to bring my way (Man plans; God laughs). Still, I've had 7 pain-free days which is adding greatly to a spirit of optimism--sadly needed--and as I like to remind myself, when I count my blessings I start with fresh air, fresh water, and flushing toilets. That never fails to put things into perspective.

On a completely different note, I've just recently subscribed to Luminosity which has been alot of fun. I highly recommend it for those who are self-competitive and percentile conscious. I'm only 4 days into my 30-day trial, but it's also fired up my enthusiasm and energy for other activities.

I've enjoyed reading everybody's posts. There are too many to respond to in both commisserations and congratulations, but I hope to contribute more in the 2014 season. All the best,

Heather.

Huzzah for pain-free days!!! May we all be blessed with them! Glad to hear you're doing better. And I like your gratitude list. :)

Interesting to hear about your trial of Luminosity. I've heard some promos for it on podcasts I listen to, and was thinking of trying it. Are you going to keep going after the trial period?
