Independents - cross team challenge

Post by johnlvs2run » August 8th, 2008, 11:52 am

The Independent team competes in the cross team challenge each month.
You are automatically put into the Independent team unless you choose a different one.

August's challenge is 500 meters.
Participation in the CTC challenges is a good motivation for improving your times.

Each team consists of 5 rowers, including 1 female rower and 1 lightweight.
You are invited to join the Independent team, and participate in the cross team challenge.

Each team can have several boats.

When you input your time, you are automatically put in a boat.

This is incentive for more people to join, and to fill up more boats.

Fun fun fun. :D

A Meagher family turn-out.
Great show - welcome to the Independents.

Two full boats now!

Climb aboard folks. Let's launch a flotilla!

Cheers
Dave

The Independents have two boats going, and need 2 more rowers for a third.

When your time is faster, you move up in position.

Maybe we can get 4 boats going for this month! :D

Not many posts here!

After missing a few months (I think my c2ctc streak was 8 or 9 years long until I dropped a month earlier this year) I managed to row a 6k for this month's challenge to fill a boat. Not my finest 6k but I broke a collarbone last month, so I'm happy that it stood up to the abuse.
