Steady 15k at 1.55.0 for a time of 57:31.9. Average hr130. It felt OK. I'm just knocking the mileage out at the moment and steadily losing weight.

Good session Max, the first 1' cost you some meters overall :)
Nice progress, I'm curious to see your 500m TT, these sprint sessions will help a lot!

All I looked at was keeping my heartrate in the 120s and stroke rate under 20 so my pace was really slow but its all good.

Back on the erg this evening after a 6 day hiatus. The target was to cover 7200m for this session!!!

30 mins @ 2:04.9 - r21 - 7201m - HR144

Felt fresh and okay throughout which was good :)

ERGO: 3.5K inc 5x200(rest=3.5mins)@1:25.3, DF=153
DEADLIFTS: gradual increase culminating in 3 sets of triples at 147.5kg and some doubles at 157.5kg. Too knackered for squats. Old

After that work on the erg, doing the deadlifts at all is pretty hard core.

As you get stronger it will become way too demanding to do DLs and squats on the same day. I'm surprised that you can do it now TBH - it's not like you're throwing 50kg about.

Yesterdsy....9 holes of golf with my 22yr old son...5 over par

3k walk to the shop and back.

3x2k/2'R on the erg.
Did those restricted at R18@70%, R20@75%, R22@80% so not pushing too hard but a nice change from UT2.

Ever since last Monday's HD session my mind has been playing with me and I've had a strange mini crisis of confidence, despite not losing any fitness. I

I intended today to be a sub max 5k, and it was for circa 3.5k, as I slowed down a bit near the end of the splits to make sure I could keep neg splitting. At about 1400m to go I decided it was close enough to turn the screw and see what happened as I knew I wouldn't HD.

I needed to get a decent result on the board, just to get my head straight again, but I know I could have PBed if I'd actually just gone with the natural pace and didn't try and control it at all.

Regardless I'm happy with how this turned out and I'm eyeing up a four minute, 5k and 10k PB attempts in the near future, not to forget the 2k competition at end of June too.

That's a blistering way to get your confidence back, Stu. I assume this is your second fastest ever?
