rowed at lunchtime in 98% humidity. Fortunately it's only 24 degrees but all my clothes including socks were totally drenched by the end.

the long range weather forecast for Sydney this Summer is La Nina conditions = wet & cloudy. Not particularly excited for the next 4 months of sweating buckets!

Called it quits on a 6k attempt today. I’ve had a thanksgiving morning sub 20 6k attempt in my mind for a few weeks now, but today was not the day.

Given my poor sleep and busy schedule the last few days (ex: less than 4 hrs of sleep yesterday), I should have rescheduled - but I chose to be stubborn and try it anyways. Not too upset about it, it’s been a while since I quit on a workout or time trial, so I was due for a bad day - I just can’t make it a habit.

50 mins easy/steady state

was planning on rowing longer today but work got in the way as did the clawing humidity. (although only 94% today....so positively luxurious compared with the last week). a couple of weird heart rate readings from erg data....potentially because the strap was bathed in puddles of sweat?

Back on the rower for the first time for a while.

Shoulder still not right, but concentrated on packing it down a bit rather than over reaching at the catch. Pretty much pain free, but I suspect that r18 and a softer stroke would have been more sensible.

Spi of a bit over 10. Which was nice.

I don't think i'll be doing the 2 optional sessions this week so that was my last session of the plan.

Over the next few weeks I want try and beat most of my PB's which were all set last year during lockdown.

After that I plan to stick to the last 8 weeks of the plan and keep doing them on repeat and add in a few sessions that I have seen you guys doing.

If this report is from ergdata or from the C2 log then also check the PM5. There are a number of bugs reported in the forum where the data seen at Ergdata and later is not the same (and wrong) compared to the PM5. In any case, drop a line to C2 support saying what you did, what you saw and why its bad. It might help them debug whatever they've got. info@concept2.com
The PM5 and ergdata both have the same error or issue, I have done as you suggested and emailed concept 2 and hopefully they might know what caused it.

Very jealous - I love training in colder conditions. 12 degrees would be about the coldest day of the year here. Really need to buy an aircon for my home gym
I bought a portable one this year.....for the 3 days a year we have sun in the UK
As Alex and myself are quite close geographically compared to you Nick, I am more used to the conditions Alex are talking about  Usually when my erg is in the combined home theater/home gym room, temperatures rise by 4-5 degrees C during a long erg. This autumn I have had between 15-22 degrees in this room, which for me is too warm. However, a couple of weeks ago I finished my home theater subwoofers, and my erg had to move to the garage. When I went erg golfing last evening, temperature was a 0 C, and about 98% humidity. During the erg it went up to 3-4 C(garage is not isolated). I think this is actually so cold that risk of injury is higher. Warming up sufficiently is crucial. I learnt the hard way, since I ruptured my meniscus in this same garage while squatting heavy in -10 C

Very good Max, good speed and SPI of over 10 is super! Not used to going down to 16 rating myself, but probably sensible to do it to avoid further complications :)
