Thank you Frag,
If it wasn't for fate I wouldn't even be here or have experienced being as fit as I now feel, I would have probably drifted on thinking my half life was real and couldn't be improved on.

I'm working up to my marathon, one of my training partners has already done his. I'm off all week so it could be any time 😂

I would like to complete all of the "ranked" distances except 100k and try to get as many of them over the 75th percentile as possible (obviously this will change a bit through the year as more times are put out there). As the season progresses, I may even mess around with the 100k...

FM completed today, eventually.

Full notes recorded on Strava but my main goal was simply to complete the distance.

Previous furthest distance was HM.

I didn't push enough to come close to "the wall", but I think a 30K practice run would have benefited me. The discomfort of the bare seat and the pressure on my fingers were distracting enough for me to have to get off the rower several times.

No real goal, I just aim for consistency, also during the summer months. (Easier to get in the cellar during the winter time).

About 1,5mio m for the whole season (RowErg and Skierg) would be okay for me.
Don’t have too much time with young kids, lot of work etc.
Used to XC bike a lot (mainly XCM - Marathons).

Started this year in February, and got an average of 90k m per month.

Best regards from Germany.

Main season goal is to get back on consistently enough that I hit 1,000,000m again for the season.

Stretch pie-in-the-sky goal is to try and get up to a HM.
Started rowing 4/22/19.

Hey, another rower from Germany 😄
Also started this year, so rookie Status as well ✊🏻

Absolutely right, consistency is key.
I want to hit some PBs and See how high I can get in the percentiles of the rankings, but primary goal is to stay active and get the body moving 👍🏻

Well, three months in and I've achieved absolutely nothing, in terms of the stated rowing targets.

However:
  • Plenty more Ks under my belt though, suppose that might count for something - 600K+ so far. On course for 2M by the end of the 22/23 season
  • A few less kgs around my waist - have lost about 8kg since Jan '22
  • Started strength training again, including front squatting every day
  • Hoping to complete a second marathon next week as part of the Concept2 Dog Days of Summer challenge
I'm hoping a combination of lower mass, higher power output and better technique(?) will help me break at least a couple of my stated targets.

Also seriously considering a BikeErg for the winter, but I am so easily distracted it might not be the best idea...

i need to stop faffing around at the moment and get back on the erg for significant time periods.
and my only real goals would be
minimum of 1 mill meters for the season. preferably 1.5 to 2
sub 7 2k (this is going to be very difficult)
do a half and a full marathon.
and lose 23kg im down 12kg so far in 3 months.
would like to lose 30kg but that may be a bit far. so just under 100kg would be ok
so ive been back on the erg for about 2 months now and had a hiccup a week or so ago with a heavy cold. (not covid havent had that pleasure yet)that blew dog days out on week 2. my only other goal achievement is another couple of kgs down. currently at 122kg down from 135kg
but back on the erg consistently at least 4 days a week (30-40kpw) and should resume that this week as my cold is sorting itself out

At 30-40K most weeks you should smash your minimum distance target :)
