Workout of the day.
Workout of the day.
I’ve been mixing the short and medium WOD 6 times a week; I’m considering increasing my workout and throwing a Long WOD in as well; how many long WODs would you all recommend per week TIA?
Re: Workout of the day.
I use WODs too. Last month 99k in 29 days, time 458 minutes, plus 1k a day warmup.
This is just enough to keep me fit, and using low rates (average 21) helps keep strength up too. But I can't see any extra work as improving training.
I also take some walks in the woods on hilly ground, and used to swim a mile or ride ten when possible.
If you'd like to go for a ride or a swim or a trek, do so; your training makes it possible and enjoyable. This is the major benefit of erg training, we can do anything we like; and every day if we wish.

Re: Workout of the day.
It's all relative on age, fitness, lifestyle, goals etc, but I'd usually suggest doing as many long distances as you're able to fit in, and recover from.
