Loss of hr data - need permission

Post by Rowan McSheen » May 1st, 2025, 10:21 am

I uploaded my workout as usual and received this email from C2:

You recently uploaded a workout to the Concept2 Online Logbook that included data from a connected heart rate monitor. Unfortunately, as you haven't given Concept2 permission to store health-related data, we can't save your heart rate data to provide you with any heart rate analysis. If you wish to see such analysis in the future, please grant access to the Logbook to store your health-related data. We only use data from devices that you connect to Concept2 equipment and we will never share this information without your consent. Learn more about our privacy policies.

All my previous workouts with the hrm show the numbers and I haven't changed anything. I went and updated the permissions but hr for this session is lost. Not the end of the world but a minor annoyance. I don't recall ever seeing this message before. Anyone know what gives?

I got a popup like that when I connected ergData this morning. I gave them permission, but I'd like to know what's up as well. I read about half of the notice before giving in and pressing OK, but didn't like some of what I read.

I'm in the USA. Per Rowan's profile, he's in the UK.

At the outset of my second workout today, the ErgData app asked for permission. It did not for the first.

After I saw this thread, I opened ergdata and got asked to accept the storing of health data. Had no workout today, so I think it will work immediately next time.

For research purposes, I connected ErgData again after my second workout. It did not ask me again for permission.
