I am working toward the spring racing season on my erg and hoping for some serious results.
What results have you seen from using the pete/wolverine/personal plan over a time period?
Any info about plan/time working each day/distance/time overall/ and time taken off 2k or 6k would be great
Thanks.
What results have you seen between 3-6 months w/ training?
You need to stop worrying, get yourself a good coach and pull 8-10k a day possibly on water. My guess is you'll be able to race 2k at around 4W/kg.
I did the same (except the 4W bit) when I started pulling again after 40 years, and within a year went from 8½ to 7' for the 2k, getting myself medals at British, Italian and European champs. The key is technique, I'm certainly far too lazy to actually put any real force into the handle. I am told doing that can cause pain. Training on its own, unless it's on water where you are forced to learn how so that you can stay topside and get back home, is a dead end. But if you learn how, you'll be ok for the rest of your life.
