The Diabolical Divide

Post by p » April 9th, 2007, 1:04 pm

Doing 2k’s for me are about as much fun as having a root treatment without anesthesia.
I lock the 2K beast away in the dungeons of my mind and only allow it out to play when challenges or competitions loom.
The Diabolical divide however might be a little different for some. It goes like this and works on variable intervals.
2k..2minutes rest. 1k..1 min rest. 500meters..30seconds rest. 250m..15 secs rest..125m..finish
The results can be charted with individual times, average speed and total time.
Guys here have had a ho and it went down well. It could even make a good competition
I’d be happy to publish times with all relevant info on this website. concept2malta.com.

Suggestions welcome

The rest time isn't included.

Have a look at this site and get an idea how some have paced each leg

Give it a crack and I'll post your time

How did you manage to set the right distances on the monitor? 15 seconds break?

Is it allowed to have active recoveries, keeping the wheel spinning prior to the 125 for example? Which it will be doing anyway.

Works best on PM 3 Or PM 4 on Varaible intervals and rest periods indicated

The idea is to rehouse the handle after each leg, agreed there will be flywheel spin in the 15 seconds rest after the 250
