The study used Olympic speedskaters and was developed to increase their VO2 max.

I looked it up and so it says, but that can,t be true lol, Japanese Speedskaters are notorious bad on the indurance front and are only able to sent sprinters (500m) and for that vo2 max is not needed. The test where done on static bikes, hence the confision. No serious athlete will use this, only leazy people whi read 4 minutes only. And if they do never do what the protocol states. 8x20 seconds MAX!!, 10 REST inbetween.
It also has nothing to with burning fat.

thank you for all of your replies. I will from now on, rotate from just intervals, do some distance & some timed rows for 30+ minutes. What are your schedules like for rowing for the week? I assume you guys change it up. I also really enjoy the Pyrmids.
