So far 481097 in 3 sessions. At this rate I only need 4 more days on the erg...

Does this mean that your goal is about 1120km? The Holiday Challenge itself is a choice of either 100km or 200km over a period of about 33 days. Averaging 160km a session for 3 sessions over a period of only 11 days must be some sort of record.

Was going to take the night off, but the erg called. 10,500M added to bring my challenge total to 144,500M with an average split of 2:00.2. Not a bad average considering the workouts have mostly been over 10,000M.

Going to go over 500,000M tomorrow. I got my C2 in August but really only started to put some serious meters on when I stopped on the water sculling about 8 weeks ago. My wife says I'm a man possessed - and as usual, she is probably right.

I have done all the previous HCs, and plan on finishing this one as well. I am at 112, 468 m so far.

OOPs Typo;
48197m in 3 sessions (over 8 days). Goal of 100k. Although if I can get on the machine a little more I might make 200k. Mostly my exercise is walking the dogs, so when I do get some exercise I try to put in some time. I've only got 176k for the season.

This morning I only had time for 5K. Including my first 2K test in about 10 years. Did a 7:15.6. I'm sure I can do 7:12 in a day or two, and will knock several more seconds off if I can get some consistant training in over the next few weeks.

Was just going to pull just the 6000M needed to stay at on pace tonight. When I downloaded (I use RowPro) the workout into the C2 log I saw I was only 2450 meters shy of 500,000 lifetime (I started erging a few months ago) - so I hopped back on the machine. Brought me to 155K for the Holiday Challenge. Could be to the 200K mark by the end of the weekend - which is good - cuz then I can go ski!!!

Nosmo,
I think that is a very good 2 km time, for a lightweight, 49 year old, who doesn't erg much!
(Are you sure about your 60 min distance? It doesn't seem to fit with your other times/distances.)
Good luck with finishing the HC.

This is getting embarrassing. I've got to proof read what I write! I'm 46 and the 60 min distance is 15137.
I was satisfied with my time but it is slower that what I am capabile of. About 10 years ago when I was erging regularly, my 5K time was just under 18 min--a faster pace then my current 2K. I've only done one each of the 2K, 60 min, and HM and am fairly cofident I can take a couple of seconds off the pace for each of those time (and the 10K too) just by having a good day. The 5K will be more difficult.

I'm going to try to do a full marathon in before XMAS just to get a baseline time. That may be crazy but I probably less crazy then the Markeeville Death Ride (130 miles, 15000' of climbing between 5000' and 8700' altitude) which I did in July with out too much trouble with. I had only 1200 miles on my bike for the year. (I'm up to 1500). I also have about 20 days of on the water rowing for the year, including 4 head races.
If I can train more I know the time will come down, but these days I can't train like I used to.

Is that Markleeville, as in Alpine County, CA? If so, do you live in the Eastern Sierra area?. I ask this since I live in Inyo County.

P.S. Sorry to point out another typo, but it is a minor one and easily spotted — if I have it right.

Yes another spelling error--you have the right, I'm pretty thick skinned. I should really be doing other things so I tend to rush when posting. Yes it was the Markleeville death ride. I'm from Berkeley, but the Eastern Sierras is one of my favorite places. Love to backpack in your area. Did a week trip a few years ago from South Lake to Whitney. It is my idea of heaven.

My eight year old brother hit his holiday challenge meters (50,000) in November... it seems he has caught the erging bug. He set the eight year old C2 record for a 1hr peice (just over 7K) It's exciting, he won't go to bed because he has to erg. And me, the rower, I'm not quite to 50,000... and that is with a half marathon and a 20,000 meter peice (today) The most I've ever erged in one sitting before.
Needless to say, I'm very proud of my little brother!
